What Gives With the UNC Line?

Question

It would appear that everyone and their mother is on UNC this week, but the line continues to drop.  It is all the way down to -3.5 at the Greek, and just dropped to -4 at some Vegas books.  Does anyone have an explanation for this?

That does not affect the line.  Is there anyone in here on UConn?  Someone with some huge money must have dumped on UConn, because it takes huge money to buck a 70-30 trend.

I wish I could find an honest accurate source for % on each side... I just don&#x27;t trust what I see posted, especially on this game... I see north of 70% on UNC here on covers; but some sites show it as high as 90% on UNC.... now that just begs for a fade... and like WOW said... UCONN is not chopped liver... still looking at this one; but if this honeymoon with UNC continues, I might have to play it...

all computer and power ratings i&#x27;ve seen have this game around a pick&#x27;em... i see tons of love for UNC, but i&#x27;m not sure if it is warranted... the loss of Hakeem Nicks is a huge one...&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;sure looks like the trap bet of the week, to me...

Your ignorance is showing again.  The fact is that I wager more money in a month than hyou do all season.  I couold buy you with my chump change.  Grow up.  All you peons have todo is keep track of all the lines, and you will see that the lines I quite are correct.  Live with it boy.  Any time you want to make a wager with me, the door is open.  But we all know that youare too yellow to do that.  Keep playing your little 5 and 10 dollar wagers.  Keep thinking that you are God&#x27;s gift to handicapping. Just for arguments sake ( I do NOT like this game); UCONN is a BCS Conference team ( albeit a weak Conf ) that has recruited pretty good the past few years adding speed, Edsall has gone to a no-huddle offense, they still want to run more than throw, and they have MAJOR revenge on their minds, at home at the 'Rench. That being said, UNC is supposed to be a force this year BUT, I dont personally like Davis. These are the kind of games hes lost his job over in other places. The Books know SOMETHING here.........and I dont like the smell. JMO GL

atlfader,the percentage that covers has for each game is everyone on here that makes picks through their respective contests.it most always will be lower than the true joe public percentages...the reason being i guess, is that most on here are smarter than joe public and there is no real money involved.logans.com, which is an online bookie, has unc getting 92% of the bets so far on that game...the line is moving backwards, imho, because vegas is begging you to take unc here. im not. im taking uconn &#x2B;4. The loses of Lorentzen and Brown are devastating for Uconn--would be for any team, much less Uconn.  Plus a new O coordinator and new scheme, which will take 2/3 games to begin to get comfortable with.  Uconn lost three of its best def players too, in in All Big East performers CB Butler, DE Brown, and DB Deleston, whose 100 yd int return for a TD capped Uconns 38 - 20 International Bowl win vs Buffalo.  He was great in coverage and a fierce hitter near the line of scrimmage.
