I've been reading this board since this lines went up weeks ago, and have yet to see anyone (and by "anyone" I mean ANYONE) on Akron.  The Zips are, in fact, the top pick of the week among the masses on Wagerline , and the Fighting Paterno's are several decent cappers' play of the week.  On two of my services, though, the line has dropped today to 26.5, having never gone over 27, even though everyone and his brother is on them.  I'm not telling you not to bet PSU, but I would recommend a little additional digging.  Something's not adding up here.

You have a point...tight line on this game. I will not be very happy to see this score 38-13.

I would rather the 26.5 but I have been burnt by big PSU spreads before.  No Play for me.

Right back at'ya.   We've got a summit meeting tomorrow with JimmyMo, The Mugg and I getting together in Seattle to watch the opener.  We may have to have a Boston Summit Meeting next year.

I have no opinion on Akron... Zip (pun intended)
 
I hope you guys have a great time in Seattle , wish I would be going I know a lot of guys making the trip.  I decided I am going with my neighbor and 6 other guys who have SEC Championship tickets...whether LSU can make it their or not it will be afun preXmas party.

Hope your having fun in Seattle.  When you get back lets talk about the Tulane game.  Wondering if you watched it, but Tulane will be a live dog this year.  Whats great is that they didnt cover tonight.  Their value will remain in tack. Army might be the game I have circled.

If your going to make a play on this game just bet the under. PSU should win ATS, the only way they don't is if Joe Pa sends in the 2nd and 3rd stringers mid-way through the 3rd qtr. He don't run the score up like the old ball coach in the 90's.

Why does everyone love PSU? Even Joe Pa made comments about how bad his team was playing in camp. I understand his motive but I have a feeling they wont be running crazy on these guys. Who are their WRs anyway?

yea this line will close at 31... i'd say if you waited this long on this game you missed the boat...
 
unless you are planning to bet Akron, in which case you need to get a (+31.5) to stand much of a chance... Penn St gonna smoosh them...

does it matter?  i could catch a least a couple TDs against Akron...

Funny game. PSU should have covered.  Glad I stayed away.

If you took PSU (i did) this is a bad beat.  PSU was up 31-0 at the half, outgained the zips 344 -8 in yards.  That backdoor happens (usually not like this) in these early games.  I took PSU for the first 1/2 (as I did for all my dd fav's in week 1) but I still would have liked the full cover.
 
What did you think about the LSU game?  Was that Lou Tepper I saw on the LSU sideline?

LOL.  There were a lot of Lou Tepper references, both before and after the game - more after. 

As for the LSU game, I left thinking that more stadiums should be built near lakes.  I also think all stadiums should have policies that allow you to come and go with a hand-stamp.  I probably had five beers in the parking lot during the game.  Finally, I think it's clear that all of us Tiger fans can make alternate plans for the night of the SEC title game.

Thanks, but it was more of a warning than a call.  Lord knows I wasn't on the Zips, and judging from the stats, I'm not sure anyone should have been.  Nice week for you it looks like.  I pretty much treaded water after getting of to a nice start.  I think I lost three games by a point or less.
