How Overrated is Miami ????

What also favors an UNDER prediction is the way the schedule starts off. If the team starts off 4-0 which they very well can, the team will be demoralized and Shannon will lose them. How is a young team suppose to gain confidence when they go into FSU and Blacksburg and have to face OU who is just waiting to start their season after their National Championship loss. I would not be shocked at all if they lose a gimme game or two during their season.

I actually think Miami will shock some people this year.... Maybe 8-4

The ACC Better wake up and take advantage of FSU's and Miami 's downfalls the last couple of years...Cause I m Telling you, This won't last forever.. They will regain Power eventually.. And this is coming from a Clemson Fan.. who knows his team should have taken advantage of the down years of Miami and FSU.

I would rate both Coaches in the Bottom 4 of this Conference now ...

I just have loved Fading Miami in selected games and Season Wins for some time now and I will have to disagree on Shannon for now ... but you could be right ...

Clemson should carry some good value in 5+ slected games this year ...Hoping we can work on the ACC this year Brother

with Miami, they have a lot of talent that may win them games that they shouldnt have. They only win loss ratio I am concerned with is the ATS baby!

Only team to hold Florida in the 20's point range.  Maybe not a great win-loss record but ATS should be good.

I rank the worst coaches in America according to me just for handicapping purposes. I have Shannon ranked No. 1. I have never - NEVER - seen a team with his talent play the option the way Miami played it against Georgia Tech last year. Standing around not attacking the ball, waiting to get blocked. What Paul Johnson did to him was one of the biggest examples of out-coaching I have ever seen. And Shannon is supposed to be a defensive coach? Right. All he did was look up in the air with a confused expression on his face. He never said a word the entire night to anyone. Great coaching..

Listen, you guys saying things like "He is a great recruiter..." well, they have jobs for people like that. They are called recruiting coordinators, not head coaches. I'm stunned that people still think that Shannon is the right guy for Miami. Who cares if he is bringing discipline? You know how many coaches who would kill to coach at Miami can bring discipline? These are the mighty Canes we are talking about.

Then once a head coach starts changing coordinators every time he turns around, he is basically panicking and doing anything he can to save his own hide. You can have talent but if the coach is a moron, it doesn't matter. Ask Alabama. Like I said, I think Shannon is the worst coach in America. How can you watch your team get killed and not say a word? Not say a word to your players? Not say a word into your headphones? Not say a word to your assistant coaches? He just stands there with a dumb look on his face.

I know a guy who covers Miami football and he told me before last season that Shannon is an absolute trainwreck.He said he is just one of those guys who can't handle everything involved with being a head coach. He's just in way over his head. Hey, that's OK. Not everyone can. Go back to being a position coach and recruiter. That's what he does best. But I know this will be his last year as the head coach of the Canes. He is terrible and I will continue to bet against them.

I can't wait until people think the Canes will get "revenge" on G'Tech down in Miami. No way a team will get that much better at stopping the option in 10 months. That was the poorest excuse of coaching I have ever seen. Good luck Miami fans. I think you are going to need it. It's a damn shame too. College football isn't as good when Miami and Notre Dame are this bad.
