Weather tonite in Boca Raton FL

Anyone from this area? I hear 50% chance of thunderstorm.  HOw true is this and whats the condition like?

there is a 50% chance of thunderstorms everyday in florida, i wouldnt worry about it...

Ill update ya guys here later.  Conditions changing there by the hour regarding rain threats.

I see that the stadium they play in is built in 1959 and used for high school games as well.  Looks like a 2nd rate facility in the photos I see.  FAU is building a new facility right now.  Its a very open stadium and I wonder what the quality of the turf is like.  There is some rain offshore that is moving toward the coast but too early to tell if any showers will be affecting the game site by 8 pm.

i work litterally 30 seconds from the stadium. the weather looks fine its been sunny all day.

the stadium is a shit whole to say the least. fau isnt building one right now, but there trying.. not going to happen if you ask most. Turf should be pretty bad considering they play a shit load of hs games here and the recent weather

GJoey do you know if they tarp the field when it rains ?? Any rain before game time or during game could really mess things up.  Kinda like Heinz Field.

Some rain is possible looking at radar.

I am about 1/2 mile away from the stadium now at Ft. Laud Exec airport.  The sun is stll shining through patches of clouds with slight winds of about 5 - 10 mph.  I spend alot of time in South Florida and  I am gonna go out on a limb and say we get through this game with no rain.  I would say about 40% chance of a brisk shower.
I was at the FAU/ULM game last year in a monsoon and I can tell you there are was not tarps etc....
This facility (Lockhart) is very "bleacheresque" and sometimes I wonder if the players even have locker rooms, showers etc...

The light shower has stopped and a few less clouds in the sky.

So...the two locals who live close to the stadium....able to provide any insight into the game...I mean..thanks for the weather info...but..are you saying you don't follow FSU

I dont' think the weather should be a factor tonight with the total climbing up. I have a feeling tonight the Over will hit.

Am I missing something ? Boca Raton and Tallahassee are 6 hours apart....

weather will have no factor tonight.  Will probably tinker with some in-game stuff.

I'd say you are...one guy works 30 seconds from the stadium and the other says he is 1/2 mile from the stadium....

The Florida Atlantic /Troy State game is actually being played in Fort Lauderdale (15 miles south of Boca Raton where FAU is located).  It is being played at  Lockhart Stadium which has been FAU's homefield since they started a football program several years ago.  This stadium is arguably the the most "bush" league stadium in Div 1A.  When other teams get here I assure you they are in awe as they probaly feel like they are going back to their high school days, some may feel this creates a home field advantage for the Owls.  This may be why USF escaped here with a narrow win last year. 
Weather check:  Not really a sign of rain, slight breeze.

Weather will not be a factor has been nice all day tallahassee is a long way from every where not sure why or how it is still the state capital?
