USC has NFL players at evry position. To me they are much faster on both sides of the ball. There RB situation is bar none the best in College football.. I saw them wax Virgina like evryone else and as impressed as I was by USC coming out the gates swinging, I thought Virgina looked like shit.It was one of those games that everything went wrong for one side, and everything went right for the other..But it was only ONE GAME...I still reserve judgment on Sanchez..I think we will really know what hes made of after this..This Ohio Staste team is pure power..They have big agressive D that will blitz the hell out of USC. There O is made up of a huge line and, if he plays the best power RB in college football...Now while im not as impressed with Boeckman as most , I am impressed by the freshman Pyror..Looks like Vince Young has been reincarnted in this guy..If he gets some reps could be a x factor..I think this game will be closer then most think..

Honestly? I think USC has a lot of good players on offense, but not great. Their D is another story. Their speed at every position will be greater than tohio st.'s..........as well as their depth. Pryor didn't impress me much. He's not as fast as I was led to believe & I certainly wouldn't compare him to VY right now. I didn't see where tohio st was able to overpower ohio on any sort of a regular basis in that game. In fact, I was surprised at how well ohio was able to hold their own at the LOS on both sides.

I've watched both games twice & I don't see any positions where tohio st has any advantage........

I think the O line of Ohio St is actually better ( even know they didnt show it last week ) then USC..I am actually a PAC 10 guy and dont like um in this spot..Both teams QB's are not as good as advertised.IMO. And if Wells plays he will eat up clock behind those monster O linemen, even against USC's fast solid D..I think USC hasent Seen a team with this much size and talent for 2 years..I like Ohio St for the first half then, Usc will put out a tight one late...GL and appreciate your insight..

OSU dominated Ohio pretty much in the second half. They gave up a TD, which was a sack in the End zone, their D did shut Ohio down. They sleep-walked through the first half, it was to be expected because this week's game at USC is huge of course, however these guys have had many big games the past few years, so WTF? , but Wells or the other backs should be able to do something vs the USC D, OSU has the best group of backs that I have seen, going 4 deep, where all 4 guys can be productive, in a different way.

[/Quote]  You must not have watched the same games I did if you didnt see were Ohio State had the advantage. Them water girls on Ohio State got to out weigh them girls from Cali by a good 80 pounds. So advantage Ohio State bigger uglier water girls.

Im not saying USC hasnt had any big games, please understand..Let me show you what im saying..The biggest , fastest team they played last year was Oregan, who doesnt even compare to a Ohio State.OSU has Huge lineman , and a fast agresiive D...USC is very use to controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball with there size and quickness, Im just saying that I think that they will struggle at first when they notice they cant controll the line of scrimmage that easy..Do you see what im saying?

Im not saying USC hasnt had any big games, please understand..Let me show you what im saying..The biggest , fastest team they played last year was Oregan, who doesnt even compare to a Ohio State.OSU has Huge lineman , and a fast agresiive D...USC is very use to controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball with there size and quickness, Im just saying that I think that they will struggle at first when they notice they cant controll the line of scrimmage that easy..Do you see what im saying?

USC has never had a problem with "big huge lineman".  Have you noticed what the Trojans have done to Big 10 teams recently?  Remember Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, etc.?  OSU has a very good team but you have to remember what Pete Carroll does with an extended period of time to scheme against opponents.

USC maybe has the best overall defense they have had since Pete Carroll's been the coach.  They have speed and strength at every single position and if anything, OSU is going to be surprised that they can't control the line, even with Wells back there at 100%.

I hope it's a very good game as I'm going and I personally, don't want to see a blowout.  However, this could be the best depth and overall talent that Carroll has fielded since he's been coach.  Their two question marks in the offseason was their offensive line and receivers and both made a huge statement against Virginia.  I don't want to compare Virginia and USC but remember, this offense goes against the USC first team defense every day in practice.

USC wins by at least two touchdowns and will score over 35 points.

USC is too fast, OSU will have problems staying in this game much less getting killed.  Home game for USC....oh my god, I will be very shocked if they dont win by more than 14.

I am a USC fan so I hear what you are saying..But other then Michagan 2 years ago ( they did woop them but it was a differnt team then) this team hasent seen any front 4 or 5 that could move them back..Wheather or not people bilieve it this will be a huge test for this young USCteam..I think the first half they will lose that battle. Then the "mad genius" will dig in at half and have his USC team ready for the 2nd half and they pull one out late..And USC has the best RB situation , Ohio State has the best RB...GL

Hehe. Sanchez is a few rungs below Carson Palmer and JDB. His true colors will show against this tenacious OSU defense.

This, coming from a So Cal transplant.

I love USC. Just not this week. Ohio State +330 is a bargain but i'll wait till USC keeps getting pounded and watch the ML rise to +350 or so to lock in.

Sanchez is a much better, more talented QB than JDB and a full season with the 1st teamers will show.  According to the USC coaches, Sanchez has been the hardest working QB that Carroll has ever coached.  He's constantly studying the opposing teams' defense via videotape and is always trying to improve himself with extra practice and tireless studies.

One thing that JDB couldn't do is throw the deep ball with any consistency and Sanchez is much more capable.  It opens up the playbook more for Sarkisian knowing he can accurately throw that pass.  I doubt Sanchez will be as good as Carson but he's much more polished and athletic than JDB.

Ok, I read your thread. I agree with you bro. I'm not sold on Sanchez. He didn't really play that well last year when he filled in for an injured Booty. OSU looked like crap against Ohio, but I think they are going to play much better. Obviously they are going to get up for USC. They are going to prove that last week was kind of a fluke and that they can compete with the big boys. I don't know if they are going to win the game, but shoot they just have to lose by 10 or less.

First off, Mark Sanchez is the real deal. I've been waiting 6 years to see him fulfill his potential. I'll say it again....He is way more talented than Carson Palmer ever was. But that doesn't mean much right now. He still has to prove it. Mark Sanchez can do it all. You can look at how he performed last year. He wasn't ready, and that was his fault. This season, he knew he would be the starting QB going in. That took a lot of pressure off his shoulders. I said it last year, but no way does Booty start over Sanchez if they had come to the program at the same time. Pete gave Booty the job because he was there longer. If I remember correctly, Sanchez got hurt in practive prior to Booty's first year of starting. It killed his chances. And then he was suspended for the rape allegations. Its his time fellas. HE WILL BE A 1ST ROUND PICK IN THE 2010 NFL DRAFT. He has not been unleashed yet. What he did at Virginia was just a small part of what he will do in the future. But I won't say he'll carve OSU's defense. I do respect their defense. (Sorry fellas, I have a huge man crush with Sanchez; been watching him since he was a junior in high school and loved him ever since).

As for the RB situation, I don't know who has more depth than USC, and I don't even think its close. Clemson does have a better one-two punch as of NOW. As for OSU, Maurice Wells and Herron are average. Much love for Beenie. This dude's a beast. Best player in college football. But you can't deny the RB situation at USC. Its ridiculous. I love all of them, and actually wouldn't mind if say CJ Gable was on UCLA. I just think its unfortunate that he'll never get 1000 yards plus on this team. He'd tear it up for UCLA. Joe McKnight has more skills than Bush, but Bush wanted to be the best. Not sure if McKnight has that in him. Most of you don't even realize how good SJohnson is, or how good ABradford is. They should be starters on most big time programs. SJ is the best overall running back on the team, and he's 3rd string. I would say our 6th string back (Marc Tyler) would start on every team in the pac-10 except for Cal and maybe ASU. Most of you guys know I'm not a biased fan, so don't take this the wrong way.

As for this game, my only concern is USC's offensive line. The Virginia game wasn't a test at all. They face stiffer competition against USC's 2nd team on a daily basis. Hell, USC's 2nd and 3rd team would crush Virginia. One thing I did see is that OSU still LACKS TRUE SPEED. I was very worried about this game prior to the season, but speed kills. I think thats obviously the biggest factor. OSU just doesn't have it. Pryor's the real deal though. I was a skeptic at first, but man, this guy will go down as one of the best college QB's we've seen in quite some time. I didn't realize he was so frickin big!!  That should be illegal and require a license plate. He's going to kill us next year at OSU (I don't think he'll be a huge factor this weekend).

However, if I had a gun to my head, I would have to take the points (+10.5), but wouldn't feel confident. Pete can't wait to make sorry ass Boeckman beat us. Beenie Wells won't be the one to beat us. I have no respect for the WR's on OSU. They just seem ordinary to me. But that goes with our WR's as well. We don't have any monsters like Mike Williams or Dwayne Jarrett's on this team. But what we do have is 4-5 really good WR's. This one comes down to whether USC can block for Sanchez. If they do, its game over, USC wins by 21.

Terrelle Pryor - Can't wait to see this guy in full starting gear myself. Not Daunte Culpepper big, but he could be way better in terms of accuracy and speed.

The strength of both teams is up front. Both secondary's are nothing special but OSU's Malcom Jenkins is a game-breaking nickel defender. Otherwise the rest of the OSU nickel package is bland, particularly the safety positions.

I wouldn't underestimate Robiskie and Hartline. They're not brand-name receivers but they get the job done and are probably the most experienced in the conference.

I haven't look at the Trojans O-Line yet but it'll be interesting to see how Sanchez will do w/o Sam Baker against this OSU defense.

You must not know much about the USC secondary because most pundit's consider them to be one of the best in the country and I believe most agree their safety combination is the best in the country with 2 legit future NFL'ers.
