Mets have been killing lefties so far this early in the season...I expect that trend to continue vs Lilly, the worse part of the pen was used last night, Homer Heilmann & Suck ass Sosa...leaving Willy with Feliciano & Smith rested and available tonight....Figueroa has had 2 good/decent starts he's definitely got value as a dog in today's game. bol all

You guys like an unproven substitution pitcher who is winless against the Cubs? Or do you guys like the soft home leftie?
 
I'll take Lilly in this spot. His last loss may have been an unlucky situation as the Cubs defense opened the floodgates for a Cincinnati barrage of runs. With Big Z on the mound last evening, the Cubs defense was spotless as the fielders turned away batters in order and pulling in 4 double-plays; not to mention the run support.
 
If the Cubs sticks continues to bring in runs in bunches i'll take my chances with Lilly. And if Nelson Figueroa pitches as bad as his biorhythm chart predicts him to, i'll also take a shot at the Over. Just like yesterday, the wind is blowing right to left and not out. Not exactly conducive to carried fly-balls but i also like the Over trends for this matchup.

Yep. I was hoping something would happen in the top of the 8th and 9th. Mets with 1 run, thats just pathetic. At least you can't blame the Cubs, they did their end of the job with getting runs in. Although that one longshot by Derrek Lee would gave us the Over. And the liner down 3rd base was fair but was called foul; would've scored at least 2 runs there.

And nice comeback by the Cardinals, but not good enough.

By the way, i sat in Section 25, Row 9, Seat 4.
 
THAT SEAT is a direct bee-line from home-plate to 3rd base.
 
THAT BALL sailed over the 3rd base and hooked foul only once it was over 3rd base.
 
How the effin' 3rd base umpire missed that call, i dunno.
