thats bullshit.

hes from ohio, plays in ohio and gets friggin paid from everyone of the 50 thousand fans sitting next to him. and the other 3 million cleveland fans watching on their 19 inch black and white tv's.

sure be a closet yankee fan if you must, but that is a slap in my face if i am a cleveland resident.

darn lebron.

That's just dumb...

He's entitled to his own opinion.

I wouldn't get up in arms about a Knicks player wearing a Cleveland cap.

I don't think he's a closet Yankee fan, he is pretty blunt about it.  He's wearing the hat.

lots of people in the spotlight just love a frontrunner. anybody remember how many LA celebs drove up to watch some golden state playoff games and bought some baron davis jerseys? it happens.

First of all there isnt a knick that is as beloved and important to a city than Lebron is to cleveland.    And to do it AT Cleveland?  WTF?

John Elway to go to Coors Field on and watch a game with a Phillies hat on?

Kevin Garnett to go to Fenway tomorrow with an Angels hat on?

Mike Ditka to go to Wrigley field with a fuckin Diamonback Jersey on?

Come on kid.   he should get his behind kicked.

Like I said in the other thread.  I wouldn't get up in arms about A-rod wearing a Cleveland Cavs hat at any basketball game.

I just don't think it's a big deal.

a couple points.

AROD is not New York.  He is a leased commoddity.    He is nowhere near the icon in NY as Lebron is in Cleveland.   Completely different scenario.

I would be there are thousands (litterally thousands) of Cleveland residents that are shocked by this.  Maybe even pissed.

How about KG in Angel red at Fenway?
Elway sitting front row at coors field today with a friggin Mike Schmidt jersey on?

Come on.    Slap in the face in my opinion.

Ugh, okay, replace A-rod with Jeter (or any Yankee player that is indicative of a NY player).

Still don't care...

Perhaps, it's just my free spirited NY attitude.

because in new york, there are thousands nay millions of people from everywhere ELSE in the world.   tell me about your new york city upbringing.

Lebron is from ohio.  plays in ohio.   and goes to an indian playoff game and wears the opponents hat?

that is absolute bush league.

Stop mentioning KG, he is still more Minnesota / Twin Cities than he is Boston. If A-Rod is a commodity, KG's "city" would still be Minneapolis, as they're still sore that he's gone.

Didn't grow up in The City.  There's a whole state named NY ya know.

But I am content to agree to disagree.

As an American, I have always believed in free speech and the freedom to form and express your own opinion.

Of course, Lebron could possibly be doing this for other reasons than being a yankee fan.  Maybe he's annoyed with Cleveland (as a city) putting too much pressure on him because he's the only player on the cavs worth more than a Million a year.

Maybe he's just doing it to be in the spotlight while B-ball season is out...

I was just trying to use people from baseball cities that are still in the playoffs.

OK.  How bout KG going to a vikings game this weekend sitting front row and wearing a brett favre jersey?

Or Tom Brady going to Fenway tomorrow with an angels jersey?

I hear ya.  but this isnt a politcal thread.  screw his free speech and  freedom to express.

HE IS A CLEVELAND CAV.  HE NEEDS TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL TEAMS AND FANS THAT PAY HIS WAGES.

Cheer yer behind off in your home, or at least wait til the game is at yankee stadium and then show up.

To parade around The Jake wearing a jersey from the playoff team you are playing right now?

He should get his behind beat and beer thrown at him regardless of who he is.

I would think that if Derek Jeter were at a Knicks / Cavs playoff game with a Lebron jersey on, it would cause a little stir. He'd be in the papers and everything.

It may not bother some, but enough to make others make a big deal about it.

LOL!  Okay, I hear ya.

The behind beat down I can condone, but not throwing beer.  It's too expensive to waste when bought at a stadium!

But just to continue my devil's advocating, why is it okay for him to wear the hat in Yankee stadium?  Or is it just "less offensive"?

How about this. This will blow your mind. It'd be like you starting this thread, and then replying saying "it's cool for him to wear a Yankees hat, it doesn't bother me that he actually likes a team outside of the city he works in."

It doesnt bother me that he likes the yankees.  it bothers me that he is wearing the hat on the front row of the jake being a cleveland sports icon.

if sabathia was wearing a manu ginobli jersey sitting front row in the finals last year he wouldnt make it out alive.
