If there is a lesson to be learned from yesterday...its staying away from those Big Juiced favorites. Ive preached it over and over!!They are Bankroll busters, rally killers, THEY ARE TROUBLE!!!
I go 2-1 last night and still lose 1.6 units for the day. Its on me! I own it! With the hope of helping some beginners of MLB that follow me, Let me explain why i chose to ignore my own rule that i learned the hard way years ago by going Busto!
Obviously i had capped the first game and chose not to play it. I had the game capped and leaned for the Mets. But, the value just wasn't there (+100) so i layed off. I had all but finished my card when i saw that the Mets were probably going to win game 1 and so i immediately start thinking and figuring what i thought the probabilities of the second game with the scenario of game 1 going to the mets, and that's all it took. I figured that under this scenario, Braves at home, losing game 1 against the METS (who are horrible) that the probabilities were around 75%-80% against a sweep. Well this created a little plus EV for me i thought and it was more than enough to add them to my card.
My thinking was, im having a good year, the bet (2 units)is within my bankroll and ive been running good and i really NOW like Atlanta in Game 2...So, that's why i did it. If you dont already know, im a POKER guy so the thought of winning a bet more so than losing a bet over the span of the long haul, is tattooed in my mind and i believe i make the same play over and over here. I hope you guys that follow me understand the thought process and also the old saying dont always do what the teacher does, do what the teacher says.
Here are My plays for Tonight: The Braves aren't on the Card!!!
Milwaukee -125 1 unit
Going with Milwaukee in this spot. Brewers hit Lefty about 22 percentage points better than righty. Astros struggle against Right handers! I look for the Brew crew to play well tonight.
Boston -135 1 unit
Boston has dominated recent meetings!
This is a rematch of April 15th when Dempster won a close one 3-2.
I look for the same type game. I like Boston@ fenway
