Ben Zobrist, 3-2, pitch down and outside. called strike 3 and ends the game.

do they fine umps for bad calls, that wasn't a bad call in the first inning. that was a bad call in the 9th inning in a full count. it wasn't even close to a strike

i'm surprised joe maddon, didn't go ape garbage harder than he did.  the ump let that pitch decide the game, pretty ugly. and the best part is he defends his call as if he has no chance of being wrong

it's true albertcore, nathan was walking towards the mound to get the ball and get ready for longoria, nobody thought it was a strike.  this rays team is scrappy, i'll give them that, but they got jobbed tonight

Rays hitting is so trash...if it wasn't for Kirkmans horrible pitching, it wouldn't even have been close. That ump really missed that call though, I do agree with that.

the rays aren't scary offensively, but they do have guys who work the count and can hurt you if you make mistakes, they're a solid all around team

No you are being too kind, they are an absolutely terrible offensive team,  they are a solid pitching team, which is why they always make a playoff run near the end of the season (when their pitchers get in a groove)...they were 26th and 27th in MLB in batting avg / hits last season, and its been that way for quite some time.

umpire knew longoria is on deck going to let some fans sitting in the deep centerfield some souvenirs to cap off a 4/4 night. (he's 3/3)
