#1 Posted: 1/22/2013 5:33:53 PM 1 year...$750k with performance bonuses to bring it up to $3.25 million.
In an era where bums make $5 million a year EASY...I'm incredibly surprised by this and think it's a great deal. Yea he has his problems but that's a very cheap pick up and I feel he'll exceed his contract. And I also can't believe he's only 27. |

#3 Posted: 1/22/2013 6:31:47 PM Wow. .260 hitter, 600+abs, and only 18 homers. 20 walks, 112 ks-not a good ratio or outfielders. Might be overpriced..... |

#4 Posted: 1/22/2013 8:46:11 PM Yea. His OBP is absolutely terrible. But now he's going from a pitcher's park to a hitter's park. And he's only 2 years off his career season. And like I said...he's only 27. Definitely wouldn't call this overpriced. |

#7 Posted: 1/23/2013 8:08:49 AM Probably batting 6th .ON days that lefties pitch may move up 5th occasionaly or down to 7th vs rihties at times. THink his production determines his place in the lineup. |

#8 Posted: 1/24/2013 8:20:36 AM I'm hearing even when he's ready to play as he is injured now that it will be a platoon situation. |

#9 Posted: 1/29/2013 8:52:26 PM Al Kaline at 78 years old probably has more range in the fielx than Delmon. Add his questionable decision making and inconsistent lackluster numbers and I am mildly surprised he got a guaranteed contract. Figured him for a minor league deal with a spring invite. |
