#6 Posted: 1/19/2013 10:04:09 PM My favorite MLB manager of all time. He signed an autograph for me at
Fenway Park when I was a little kid. He asked me who my favorite Oriole
player was and I told him, "Mark Belanger, your Shortstop". Five
minutes later, Belanger came over and gave me a signed baseball.
Thanks for the memories and RIP Earl.

#7 Posted: 1/19/2013 10:19:57 PM As an A's fan, I never liked the guy. But I do respect how he NEVER CUSSED. He would call an umpire a "rocksucker"
It's like he was Covers before there was Covers..... |

#13 Posted: 1/21/2013 11:44:55 AM One of top 3 managers baseball has ever seen. He revolutionized baseball and the way it is managed. He invented sabermetrics and moneyball before anyone had any idea what those things were. He was a genius and well ahead of his time.
