7:05 EST - Arizona Diamondbacks (+125)
In the last 30 days Saunders has improved his numbers to a 8.0 K/9, 3.3 K/BB, opponents are hitting .225 off him and he has a SIERA and xFIP of 3.6. These are very solid for a starting pitcher. He's also one of the leagues best against lefties. Well the Phillies line-up has been decimated and the only three names they're really left with are Howard, Utley and Rollins. Howard and Utley are both lefties and Rollins as a switch hitter is barely hitting above .200 as a righty facing a lefty. It's going to be very difficult for the Phillies to score today. Halladay seems disinterested and that's probably because he has nothing to pitch for. At this point in his career, he's looking for a world series ring. Since the Phillies won't take him there this year, I don't think you'll see Doc reach 100% in any start for the rest of the season. Quite simply, I don't think he cares to. He'll save his body and his mind for another year. The D-Backs have a much higher offensive probability (#19 ; #24), a stronger bullpen (#6 ; #17), and they're even better defensively (#6 ; #17). Diamondbacks look like the best dog on the board. Don't get suckered into the low line on Halladay at home because that's exactly what that bet is, a sucker bet. |

#11 Posted: 8/4/2012 3:44:22 PM your 100% right si1ly, with no Victorino, Pence, and no Riuz/Polanco because of injuries, this team is not the Phillies... especially with Howard hitting below .200

#15 Posted: 8/4/2012 4:37:33 PM What do u think about Wash tonight ? The other game is the White Sox & the over. Their has never been a total at 10.5 in this series, since 9-5-2008 , just one time a total of 10 was the highest in last 35 games. Sox won that game 9-2. I was thinking of playing the over before the 1st game yesterday. Looking at both pitchers stats last 3 games. Also, from a wagering stanpoint, Sox look better. Any thoughts on this game?

Yeah, I like the over. I'm not going to play it myself because 11 runs is a lot to ask for in a given game, but all signs point to the over being the right play. |

Washington looks like fair value, although I do think they win, in my opinion the juice at -170 isn't quite worth the squeeze. They're definitely prime for an action parlay with another heavy favorite to get an even or plus money resultant. |

CC used to get those lines against Baltimore, but yeah, -300 doesn't come around more than a few times in a season. Dodgers or nothing, and obviously at that price it's nothing. |
