Maybe because they have the best record in MLB with their ace on the mound against a crap boston team without their best hitter?

who cares about value?  value is the wager that wins

The Yankees are right up there with other big franchises that can have 80 % + of the action on them and win daily, Along with the Miami Heat, Barcelona, Manchester United, New England Patriots and now the Packers under Aaron Rodgers.

The books know about certain elite teams and know they have to accept defeat on their games, How do they combat this?? They set the lines for the other games on the card that day a lot sharper, Where they try to make their money back and then some.

I wouldn't worry about all the money on the Yankees..

Thier ace has a losing record career wise against Boston.  Arod and Chavez will be out for this game.  Do your homework!

For me the answer is very very easy.  I'm a Yankee superfan up in New England and I've watched every pitch of ever Lester start all year, because up until recently I've tailed him waiting for him to break out of this slump.  About 3 weeks ago I finally came to the conclusion that it's not happening.  Tailing Lester the rest of the year.  He is in the bottom 3rd of MLB pitchers in terms of stuff, command, clutchness and everything else this year.  To sum it up, he lost it and he isn't very good, but because of his history the books still give him respect.  If you subbed in Aaron Cook into this matchup the line would be -220, and Lester is basically on par with Aaron Cook right now.

He will give up at least 5 runs in the first 4 innings with a pitch count up near 100.  Mark my words.

CC hasn;t lost back to back games since May and he certianly won't lose this one. Arod and Chavez? They don't even matter. They still got a guy named Jeter, Cano, Grandson, Texiera, Andrew Jones, or yeah and a new guy named Ichiro. Lester has been terrible and he's on the road against a team that easily puts up 5 runs in a heartbeat. If toronto can handle him, so can the Yankees who are much better, deeper and more talent across the board. Betting against the public here is not a good idea thinking you're out smarting vegas and going with a gut feeling. The best bet is to take Yankees much better dogs later than a weak Boston team whose offense has been struggling. I don't see Boston scoring 3 runs today while the Yankees put up at least 11

So what?  Did you watch the game last night?  Arod was out last night too. Are you forgetting Red Sox are also missing their best hitting in Ortiz?  Do your own homework.  Where have you been?  Have you watched Lester pitch the last month?  Stay in the current my man.

Well CC hasn't lost back to back games since May. That is a good trend. He was mad at himself for the Oakland game where he let Oakland rally, I am sure he's fired up to amend that game. Boston has no chance today.

Unit... how can you POSSIBLY have confidence backing Lester right now against a potent lineup?  Take everythign else off the table.  How on earth can you back Lester.  Even if CC gives up 5ER in 6INN which he won't, the Yankees will still be leading at that point.

Last 3 starts-

11 runs on 9 hits, 5 walks in 4 innings

7 runs on 6 hits, 3 walks in 4 innings

5 runs on 9 hits, 2 walks in 4.1

To summarize...

23 runs on 24 hits and 10 walks in his last 12.1 innings.

He has only allowed less than 3 earned runs once in his last 12 or his last 13 games and that was in Oakland, never going more than 7 innings.

Christ, the Red Sox are thinking about optioning him to Triple A right now and you want to back him against the Yankees in NY.

"Spin: There was some talk that the Red Sox would skip Lester's start or move it back a few days to give him some time to work things out, but he will be pitching on Saturday as scheduled. Lester's track record gives him a greater margin for error than most pitchers, but if he doesn't turn it around soon Boston may have to consider a demotion to Triple-A or the bullpen."- ESPN

So CC looks bad but Lester looks good? Lester's era is up over 15 in his last 3 starts. I hope Boston can score some runs tonight because I know the Yankees will.
