#1 Posted: 7/25/2012 9:59:42 AM for 2 minor league pitchers and a minor league hitter. For the Pirates i like the move i think they needed another arm now i think they need another bat. As most know i was the guy who liked the pirates in the offseason then changed my mind when they acquired Burnett. Look at this Pirates rotation
1. McDonald
2.Burnett
3. Rodriguez
4. Bedard
I know its not Madduz,Glavine,Smoltz and Avery but its still pretty good. For the Astros they've done what i said they needed to do in the offseason which was trade Rodriguez,Carlos Lee and Brett Myers and get ready for your move to the A.L. Your thoughts? |

#4 Posted: 7/25/2012 10:28:18 AM Correia and Rodriguez vie for the 5 slot, Bedard 3, Karstens slips into 4. A decent move, but they could have used a stick more.

#6 Posted: 7/25/2012 10:40:36 AM I agree hammer22, Correia is a legit back end to the rotation.
Nice write up Packers.

#8 Posted: 7/25/2012 10:51:38 AM Either physically or mentally, possibly both, Correia is not built for August and September. Maybe the Pirates brain trust knows that.

#9 Posted: 7/25/2012 10:55:30 AM Correia will slowly be pushed into the pen/long relief guy.
And the Buccos are still going to acquire another stick. |

They have realized they have over achieved. In other words they have peaked.
