#1 Posted: 7/22/2012 11:25:24 PM Congrats to the Angels backers
Dan Shulman pointed out a very mind boggling stat about Texas in the middle of tonight's game.
Lowest scoring team in all of baseball during the month of July. That's hard to fathom considering how many weapons they have.
The Angels are gonna make a serious push to overtake Texas.
These 2 teams meet again in a couple weeks in Texas
That's gonna be a good series to watch.
I was on the wrong side tonight and once again
Congrats to the Halo Backers... you deserved the W

#2 Posted: 7/22/2012 11:30:01 PM Looking at Mike Trout vs. Josh Hamilton on primetime Sunday night baseball, one stepped up and one shut down. Trout might very well and probably should win the AL MVP. BOL tomorrow |

#5 Posted: 7/22/2012 11:46:43 PM it is quite surprising that the Rangers offense isn't producing and Angels aren't too hot right now either..... but what do you guys think are the chances of Oakland winning the AL West?
The only reason I ask is because I'm in abit of a situation now with Oakland only 5.5 games back, i got loads on both Texas(-130) and then hedged on angels at +550 for a guarantee profit, well atleast I thought it was a gurantee untill oakland won 9 out of 10. Now i'm thinking about putting $40 on Oakland for insurance if they move withing 4 games on Texas. Any thoughts if they have a chance or should they be falling out the division race soon?

#6 Posted: 7/22/2012 11:52:10 PM I wouldn't put anything on Oakland. They will contend for a wild card spot, but I don't think they have a shot at Texas or LAA for the division

Oakland has ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of winning that division. None whatsoever. Come the end of August both them and Pittsburgh will be long gone. Cute stories, but not a happy ending. |

#9 Posted: 7/23/2012 12:24:56 AM The Pirates are staying...not going. They learned their lesson from last year. The Athletics aren't going anywhere either. They HAVE pitching which will keep them in the mix. Oakland will probably improve offensively by trading some pitching at the deadline. They may not win the division but could make one of the two wild card spots. Oakland is hanging right with the Angels....even with that big payroll.

#11 Posted: 7/23/2012 1:21:14 AM ya I think your all right, it would be great if texas/la can gain momentum with both of them starting homestands and the A's are starting a roadtrip in Toronto, hopefully Oakland's fairytale season won't last too much longer... lol let's see trout get his BA up to .400, still would be crazy though if he finishes above .350 as a rookie

#12 Posted: 7/23/2012 1:48:48 AM Texas has too much talent to keep under performing like this. They'll come around. Hamilton doesn't look like he's having fun out there right now. That will change IMO. |
