#2 Posted: 7/1/2012 11:07:05 PM Hello,I'm interested in your padres pick. Padres have only won 3 games in a row once all season and AZ have rarely lost 3 games in a row. AZ are at home and padres suck away. I'm actually flying to Vegas tomorrow to stick 5k on the diamondbacks. Can you give me something I'm missing here? |

Mainly for the value here. I see that the bats have come alive some for the Padres and the D-backs are struggling with the bats. In addition I like Richard over Cahill. I feel like this line will drop somewhat before game time. If I was gonna stick 5K on a game it would not be this one.

Zona is the pick - this will be a repeat of atl vs nats today... Zona will pull away - roof open and homers all night son... |

#7 Posted: 7/2/2012 12:07:37 AM Thanks for the info but I have won a lot on the fact the padres have a very hard time winning 3 games in a row especially away. Although the only time they won 3 games was when they swept the mariners awhile back. The pitchers are close and I think the diamondbacks being home after losing 2 should be an easy play for me.

#10 Posted: 7/2/2012 1:49:44 AM Clayton Richard has been putting in quality starts lately, vs poor hitting teams mind you and has won 4 of 5 team starts vs the Dbacks, good luck with your wager tomorrow. |

#14 Posted: 7/2/2012 9:02:41 AM The Diamondbacks will likely have 8 righties in their line-up tomorrow against Clayton Richard, an average left-handed pitcher. They're the home team and Trevor Cahill is an extreme ground ball pitcher backed by the 6th best fielding team in the big leagues. Because the D-Backs are such a right-handed heavy offense, they've dominated lefties on the season ranked #1 in my offensive splits power rankings. I like Arizona's success against lefties to continue tomorrow at home. |

Cahill walked four in five innings last time out, a 6-4 loss in Atlanta. But Arizona had won his previous four starts. Batters are hitting .244 against Cahill, who’s 1-0 with a 0.60 ERA in two turns against the Padres this season. On June 3 in San Diego, he tossed a six-hit shutout while fanning five and walking three.
