Had a great day yesterday, finishing almost 3u in the GREEN. Gotta love it. Now let's keep some plays and fade the rest.
Zito Fade- Last time I put my money on Zito, he was throwing up little league stuff. The Giants would have been better off letting the other team hit off a tee. So I'm taking advantage of it. Let's fade some Zito today...but just Zito, not the bullpen, as the Giants have the 8th best bullpen in baseball. 1st 5 only for me.
Snakes 1st 5 ML -124 1.24 / 1
Self Fade- The Tigers have been playing well lately, and I'm influenced slightly by this game because I have won by picking Fister and also by picking against Doubront. It really sucks to pick against what you like, but this is a necessary evil with my success rate so far. Let's take the Bosox.
Bosox ML -128 1.28 / 1
Self Fade- The Reds are almost even on the road with one of their better pitchers on the mound against the Pirates. The Pirates are 24th in hitting over the last 7 days, the Reds are 6th best. James McDonald is has the 11th worst run support of any pitcher in baseball (4.24). Arroyo surprisingly isn't much better (33rd worst, 5.37). Pirates are dead last in total run production, while the Reds are 19th. Looking at all of this, my gut tells me to take the Pirates at home with McDonald on the mound. Since my gut is what got me 12u in the hole in the first place, I'm fading the shit out of it.
****Hammer Play**** Reds ML -105 2.6250 / 2.5
Keeper Play- I am going with the Fish today, as this team has had great mojo for me. I don't take them all the time, but I have picked my spots and done well. I think the Nats will have a false sense of confidence after coming off of a great series against a shitty Braves team, and that the Fish will have what it takes to pull off a close win.
Fish ML -120 1.2 / 1
Chase Parlay- I have been chasing the Twins for two games to get a win, and I think they'll do it today. But I just can't bring myself to lay 4u (with juice) on a team this terrible. So I'm mixing them into a parlay to see if they can finally win a friggin game.
4 team parlay: NBA Heat ML -485 / Phillies ML -134 / BoSox ML -128 / Twins ML -135 .75 / 4.1483
Keeper parlay: The Cards kicked my ass yesterday when I did a self-fade and picked Halladay against my own judgement. Today I keep the Cards 1st 5. I also like the best hitting team in baseball over the last 7 days for the 1st 5 inning against the Rays today.
2 team parlay: Cards 1st 5 ML +105 / CWS 1st 5 ML -110 1.03 / 3.0010
Accuscore fades- {Det / Bos U9.5 62.2%}, {Sea / Tex U10.5 61.3%}, {CWS / TB O7.5 60.4%}
I don't like any of these plays, but it has done well so far and I'm seeing it through. Note that the Hou / Col and SD / ChC games are excluded due to Accuscore data being unavailable.
Tigers / Bosox O9.5 +113 .5 / .565
Mariners / Rangers O10.5 +105 .5 / .525
CWS / Rays U7.5 -118 .59 / .5
All Teamrankings RL fades conflict with my picks with the exception of the Reds (they recommend the Pirates at -1.5). So it is the only official TR fade of the day. However, since they absolutely tanked yesterday, I would expect at least one hit today. I'm going with the Snakes at -1.5 and the Phillies at -1.5 to see if one can pull it off. If either of them hit, I'm ahead. Just FYI, the other TR pick today is the Pirates -1.5.
