Can someone tell me what's to like about the O's tomorrow?
I know they have been hot and Nats have not, lately, but I really feel like the Nats will come out and defend their home turf(where they are 14-6) tomorrow against their rivals from across the way.
Jackson has been solid all year for the Nats- with a miniscule 1.01 whip and 3.71 whip while Arrieta stands at 1.24 and 5.21.
Sure Jackson pitches in the national league and has a better pitching park, but that edge I feel also is evened by the fact that the O's are traveling to the NL for the first time this year, and will have to adjust their offense(and defense) accordingly.
In his last 3 starts against the O's, Jackson has gone 22IP, allowing only 3ER. Arrieta has pitched twice against the Nats and given up 11ER in 8ip.
Overall, the Nats hit Righties much better(.247, to .209), while the O's hit weaker against Righties (.243, to .266).
Tell me if I'm missing something, because it seems like a pretty big play on the Nats from my perspective.
I guess most people are loving the O's bats right now.
