If the Cubs can cover this spread they will be off my shit list officially. This team is hot and playing with a lot of confident and the best part is the team is performing instead of leaving everything up to LaHair and Castro. They are really aggressive with the baserunning and it keeps the other team on the their toes. Right now everyone is betting the Cardinals because they have lost too many games in a row, but they are just going through a slump after starting extremely hot. I still think they will win their division easily and have a good shot at winning NL, but the Cubs have been playing them well this year. I am sticking with the RL tomorrow because I do have a feeling St Louis could win this game in the late innings when the Cubs bullpen comes in. There is good value in getting +1.5 for -135, which is the highest juice I will play in any game.
Maholm is a really good pitcher and I have followed him since last year. The guy really bothers hitters because he keeps the ball low and he gets a lot of ground balls. A team like the Cards who is already struggling will not be happy hitting ground ball after ground ball after losing so many games in a row. He does not give that many free passes, which is key in a game on the road against a good hitting team. Maholm is 1-3 with a close to 5 ERA against the Cards in the last 3 years, but I honestly think he knows where he made mistakes from his loss this year to the Cards. He started the season very shaky with two losses where he got lit up, but after that he bounced back hard with four wins giving up 3 earned runs and 15 hits in 25.1 IP. I think he keeps his strong pitching and finally gets a win against the Cards.
Kyle Lohse also a good pitcher, he is on my fantasy team but he has really struggled against the Cubs in the past. Current Cubs are hitting .358 and slugging .525 off of the Lohse. Soriano has the most hits off Lohse than any other pitcher he has ever faced, which is great for someone who is slumping big time. Lohse is 1-2 with a 5.87 ERA against the Cubs in the last three years giving up 20 earned runs and 6 homeruns in 30.2 IP. If Campana, Dejesus, and Soriano have decent days, it will really blow the top off because LaHair and Castro are going to produce and carry this team on their backs day in and day out. Good spot for the Cubs to win and take this series, but I will roll with the safe bet and probably throw a little something on the ML.

Now that I look deeper into the CHW/DET game, the play might be Detroit....what do people think? These teams have had some really close late inning games this year.

Your a good capper....don't bet the Flubs...being a diehard Cubs fan here ...find other value.....Maholm is due for a little regression one....second of all they are not hot...they won 2 in a row..and if it wasnt for cardinals errors in yesterdays game the cubs would have lost.....i think they are a better team...but the cardinals exposed the cubs on many occasions yesterday allowing sori and soto to beat them.....soto couldn't hit crap with risp...he is total garbage and imo has caused the cubs a loss on three occasions in addition to marmol and wood garbage bullpen implosions.....i see the cardinals coming out strong to end their homestand on a good note....low scoring cardinals win...gl

After starting the season 3-11 they have played much better and they always play hard against the Cardinals. Lohse has not fared well against all of the Cubs starters other than Castro who will also step up tomorrow. They really might win this game.

i hope so ...im a big cubs fan but i also don't think Maholm will keep it up...did you watch his first three starts it was horrific.....Lohse is either been lights out or drilled by the Cubs typically early in the ballgame.....a better bet for you might be cubs first 5

No problem, I like talking about the games instead of hearing dumb comment.
Greinke is 1-1 with a 7.20 ERA in three road starts and his last start was against a struggling offense thats why he did well. He is not good on the road and he will be pitching against a very confident offense. The Mets score a lot with two outs which really fucks with pitchers during the game. On the other hand Gee will be facing a little league line up + Ryan Braun who they will pitch around. David Wright is heating up and I see Grienke having a bad day.

Why don't you think he will keep it up? He keeps the ball low, which is the key to good pitching and low pitch counts. He gets a lot of ground balls and the hitters get frustrated with that shit. Even when a runner is on first, there is a huge chance for a double play.

Dillon Gee is 0-2 with a 6.00 era at home with a 0-3 team record at home with his starts ....milwaukee is not as bad offensively as they look and i dont think the mets are as good as they look....if i had to place a bet on a horse it would be greinke rather than gee...better arm ......as far as Maholm goes he has gotten lucky giving up a lot of line drives at people (which is good scouting) and because he doesnt K alot of people his command has to be pinpoint

I was thinking you were looking into Oakland tonight, EastOakland. Any reason you have not mentioned them?
I find them the best dog of the day, I must say.
All Colon does is throw fastballs, I was there when Detroit shelled him and he would not stop throwing fastballs. Way to easy to figure out. There offense is a joke I dont know how they have won so many games, they will soon regress. Also, everytime I take the A's they lose horribly. They are on my shit list right now. I think Santana is moving towards the right direction after his last start. Angels really have the worst offense of them all, so its a no play for me. Will look into it more though later.

How is the Brewers offense not as bad as it looks?? Their offense is not good at all. They are 27th in batting average and without Fielder, they can just pitch around Juice Boy. Way too many holes in their line up and people are on the DL, Weeks is struggling. Do not see where their offense isnt as bad as it looks.

You have great write ups, but what is your record? I read your picks the last couple days and they have been losers Cleveland Baltimore and now the Cubs you must be good with money management or play a lot of small plays. Bottom line the World Champs are not losing 5 in a row especially if Beltran plays that is the key. Stewart sucks and is not going to have a big day 2morrow you can book that.

HHAHAHHAHAHAHA i never follow anyones plays ever. I only make my own picks. I have never tailed one person on this site, I don't think anyone is as good as myself even if it isnt true. And i would never even imagine following a tout. And for Aramis Ramirez...he is trash...will not be good this year.

I lost baltimore, cleveland, and washington and they were all dogs. I am great with money management...I only play dogs you havent noticed? I can go 50% and still make a profit. I also make plays sometimes I don't post, I also played OKC large today 1st half and game. I never say how many units my plays are because that doesnt matter. I am here to do a write up and play smart. I havent caught many breaks in this last 5 days but thats because I always play dogs.
I won;t and will not post a record on here, there is no reason for me to post a record. If people want to follow my picks...go for it. If not I couldnt care less. Like I said before, I am gambling now because I am not working and I have to pay restitution. Will only be posting for 1 more month and then I have to serve time in late June. Just something for me to do and talk baseball. I know a lot about the game, taught myself how to play as a little kid.

Over 7 1/2 looks like a good bet in the Cubs/Cards matchup. As much as I hate total plays, this number is too tempting to pass. Good luck Oakland, keep on doing what you're doing!
