Alot of people have been chasing dogs to begin the season and getting mauled (Faves 96-66, Home Faves 65-42). The average payout fro Home winners is ML-166, current line is ARI ML -161. Now I don&#x27;t like the juice so I played ARI -1 for -123 and i&#x27;m okay with that. Ultimately favorites are priced for a reason and the line didn&#x27;t move much even with the lineup changes. Anyway I like the home team here.

The line opened -185 and is now -165, definition of reverse line movement. D-backs getting over 70% of action on the ML but line is dropping because smart money likes the buccs in this spot. Shmevin has covered this, no Upton and no Young for AZ and Hudson hasn't been all that sharp yet this year. I based my bet on Pitt due to Hudson not being in the same form as last season yet and him laying -185 even to the lowly pirates didn't make much sense to me.

And I am in no way saying this is a safe bet because Mcdonald is not an elite pitcher but he has been throwing the ball better than Hudson IMO and given no Young and Upton for AZ I will take my chances at the value play.

great points. i saw this same exact situation monday public pounding zona and line going down and took pitt and watched there shit lineup do nothing all night.

with that being said i am taking them as dogs again today because i am sick and love + money lol
