Who is the public? The covers.com consensus of course. Over the weekend the picks that over 65% of the general consensus bet on went a combined 3-12. That includes sides and totals. This isn't a new idea, but one that has generally held out in MLB betting for years. So here are the picks based on nothing but knowing most people are betting on last year's information.
SEATTLE
BALTIMORE
MIAMI
MINNESOTA
UNDER 9.5BOSTON/TORONTO
UNDER 8.5ANGELS/MINNESOTA
UNDER 8.5 WHITESOX/CLEVELAND
I admit, when I first heard about this "strategy" 10 years ago I thought it was retarded. But it has held pretty well over the years and has turned Covers into a resource for me.

BOS/TOR will have plenty of runs. Both Pens were used quite a bit in the opening series (Toronto 2 extra inning games) (BOS 1, yesterday) Boston pitching got lit up by DET (7HRs 24 RBI) Over is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings in Toronto. This game has 6-5 written all over it
