I love the Tigers but Verlander threw some serious innings last year and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we saw some regression especially early in the year. Also Valverde went the whole year without a blown save but it wasn't without putting himself in a position to blow many. I think their is some value in fading the Tigers early especially with Verlander on the mound if the odds are right. Lester is so solid for the BoSox and this team has something to prove after the fallout last year. Valentine can bring energy to this club.
Hard to back someone who hasn't pitched in forever but this Braves lineup will struggle with LHP. Hanson is OK but I have never been a fan. He sucks up innings and competes but the guy isn't elite. I lean the Mets today.
The Nats are the sexy pick to have a breakthrough season along with the Marlins. Strasburg is a nasty but also is a a high pitch count guy. I would think his innings will be limited early in the year and with no Storen in the pen there is value at the number with the Cubs.
