1st off not often i beat sparky to news but here it goes. It's confirmed by ESPN. The rockies in return get pitcher Zach Putnam and cash considerations. So in my opinion here is the indians rotation
1. Masterson
2. Jimenez
3.Tomlin
4.Slowey
5. Lowe
All of this could've been avoided with Carmona if they would've gotten rid of him. If they Keep Carmona or whatever his name is Slowey could also be a depth pick up.. But I don't know if they make this trade if that doesn't happen with Carmona.

honestly rider that one you have looks I really was suprised the Indians moved Alex White. I hadn't seen pomeranz when he was traded. But he looked nice in colorado. It'll be interesting to see Jimenez in his 1st full year with the indians. I think they'll be around 500 this year

The Tribe would lie if asked this, but I think you're correct. I don't think they make this move if Heredia (Carmona or Hernandez lol) didn't get in this mess. In any case, Cleveland now has a good rotation and will be a difficult team to beat this year. I can see 82-88 wins for this team this year. Obviously the bullpen will determine which end of that range they end up. And if I underestimated their offense, they might even win a game or two more.
I realize 82 to 88 wins doesn't sound great. But with an average payroll that's not bad. And in that division, they'll contend.

Yeah cash i'm seeing about 81 wins for the tribe but that's if they say adios to whatever his real name is. I have the Royals in 2nd place in that division with 82 wins. Those are my opinions

And like I say, the most telling portion of a team in MLB is the performance of the bullpen usually as far as getting to the upper or lower end of a possible win range. And the bullpen is usually the most unpredictable part of a team. Their performance is good one year, bad the next for most teams.

packers you seem to know the tribe well enough to be fan. I like your opinions so I wouldn't mind agreeing and disagreeing with you on stuff. You seem cool.

Watched a lot of Tigers games when they played the Tribe. They had a really good bullpen. I get STO on my sports package and i hear all these tribe fans call in and say"trade Chris perez he sucks!!" If the Indians put Perez on the market today you'd get a shitload for him. The kid's nasty. For the record cash i'm not a fan of any baseball team. I wish more fans would've came out to Progressive field last year. I know the economy sucks but that team deserved more support. I hope Indians fans in 2012 go out and support that team. They deserve to play in front of big crowds like the teams in the 90's. Damn they were good in the 90's. If the Indians of the 90's would've had the Braves starters they would've won a couple of titles. Not rubbing that in your face cash it's just my opinion

Thanks cash. I watch a lot of Tigers Braves and White Sox games. those are the teams i grew up with as a kid. The white sox on wgn and the braves on tbs. If they lose though i don't really get pissed or anything. I can't listen to the announcers of these games though. It sounds weird to some but i usually broadcast the games to myself. It's hard for me foor whatever reason to sit and watch a game. So most nights i'm usually broadcasting the games to myself. Filling out the scoresheets and drinking a dr.pepper. To me that's heaven on earth

The tribe is getting there though. fans of teams don't like to hear this but they're heading in the right direction. Good gm got good returns on their trades. 1 thing that works against the indians in my opinion this season is nobody will take them lightly. Nobody is going we play the indians check that off we'll win those games.

That's hilarious. I used to love the superstation broadcasts of the braves (my fave team to watch in the 90's believe it or not) and the cubs (loved Sandberg) and the White Sox (loved Hawk and whoever he's with).....

Was a cubs guy but got tired of all the b.s. overpaid babies and some of the fans who didn't know the difference between a base hit and a bunt. And got tired of the moron media reporters who cover the team. And i got tired of everytime they'd lose yelling at my wife and slamming crap it just got ridiculous

I loved when Harry And Steve Stone were the announcers on WGN. Great stuff. By the way, when I say I'm "a fan" of the tribe, I mean I like them and root for them but they are not my favorite team. They were when I was 7 and 8 years old, and then they changed theor uniforms from those beautiful red ones (lol) that they wore in '74 and I got mad and switched to the Yankees. What's hilarious is I only picked the Yankees because I loved Thurman Munson and Graig Nettles and I liked the airplanes flying over Shea Stadium, where they played in 1975 when I swtiched teams. Been a Yankee fan ever since, and they weren;t even good then. How lucky am I? lol

I liked the alternate red hats they wear. i don't really care as much for the uniform that goes with it. Look up Thome's picture in that uniform It seems to me like the Indians are phasing out Chief wahoo

Joker big fan of kipmis as well. But if the Indians are hoping for a healthy sizemore. You can hope in 1 hand and put something else in the other. I like sizemore but he has brittle knees and i thought he and the indians should've went their separate ways. Just my opinion
