#1 Posted: 9/26/2011 11:12:22 AM Orioles played very well against the Redsox while they were in Boston. I expect the Redsox to continue to chock away the wild card lead.
Im gona throw a few bucks on the Orioles +195 |

No, They will continue to stumble. Sox played a tought game Sunday, Orioles will win 11-3. Josh Beckett is mad at his team mates for not supporting him his last start. |

What does this even mean? Beckett will throw the game to "get back" at his team??
I do think the over is a better wager in this game. I dont think the double header will affect the offense, but it will affect the bullpen if the Sox need to go to it. I think Sox escape with a win tonight, but like I said, I think the over is safer.............
I am going with Sox TT over or game over myself

#10 Posted: 9/26/2011 2:25:17 PM double header yesterday for Boston. BoSox playing horrrrrrrible baseball down the stretch. Baltimore winning recent series over decent AL teams.
BALT - 1 1/2 +350

Damn you even put it in caps.
Up 1 with 3 to play, a win doesn't assure them anything.

they will win tonight 11-3 AGREE Things happened during last night's game that I haven't seen out of this team all season. I have a feeling this Red Sox team now goes on another roll....one where they win 8 out of 10.

This is correct. Boston's "Magic Number" is two for a tie. A Red Sox Win TOGETHER tonight with a Rays loss would ensure at least a tie for the WildCard berth. If the Rays and Red Sox end the Season TIED, a One-Game Tie-Breaker would be played in TAMPA BAY because the Rays have the better record against the Red Sox head-to-head this season.

There's only 3 games left, not 10. Take it from an ignorant Californian who is his books best friend. Let me explain it to you like I would to a 3 year old. Are you with me? They win 2 of 3 from Baltimore at the least...they'll probably win 3 of 3. Then they'll dispose of their first round opponent in 4 games. You still with me? Then the Red Sox beat the Yankees in 6 games.
Lastly, why do people make idiots of themselves assuming people living in NEW HAMPSHIRE are BOSTON sports fans? If I use your logic you must be an Arizona diehard?

#20 Posted: 9/26/2011 3:05:49 PM If you have Boston tonight you better hope it isn't a close game late.
Paps pitched 2.1 innings in that grinder of a game last night. I wonder if he will be able to pitch tonight ? If not........ Who will close out the game for Boston if it is a tight one ? I sure as hell wouldn't trust Bard closing a game out if I had Boston a -190 !. Maybe Paps will go out and pitch anyway, because these games mean so much . But I can not imagine his having his best stuff. Any thoughts on this gents?

i guess Romo could be extra protected by the ref tonight, otherwise Kitna might not be too much worse than Grossman. i hope Red Sox go into the playoffs as dogs. |

#24 Posted: 9/26/2011 4:31:26 PM Ok, against better judgement I'm chiming in here. Stick to the stats. Just because there is a lot of emotion in the games and on this thread, what will happen is what the stats say. ICE, you are right on. by the hook, get over 8/12, 9 being the magic number, and forget who wins or looses. Balt has Becket's number, and Hunter is a fade regardless of how tired and worn their bats, legs, hearts, and BP are. Waste of time picking a winner here. That's my 2 cents for what it is worth, best of fortunes to everyone.
