do the nyy's take the next three games off to rest and also increase the chances of the sox missing the playoffs?
the nyy's have faried very well against tampa during the regular season if they were to meet in the nlcs.

Baltimore's been one of the hottest teams in baseball in September. They've won the series vs Tampa, Angels, and Boston. They denied Verlander his 25th win - which would've been the most in MLB since the 90s.
And everyone thinks Boston will sweep? An uptight Boston team that will sweat any deficit knowing that NYY will be gift-wrapping their 3 games to Tampa?
I'd be nervous if I were a Sawks fan.

that is my question to the forum. the nyy have been very successful againt the rays this season and not so successful against the sox. also, the nyy hate the sox. why would they not rest their bp and players as they have proven history to be able to win the ws on a losing streak.a
i am betting the rays will win this series and possibly sweep.

-275 series price tb
ml and rl tb tonight. yanks coming off 23 innings then travel. no bp left. girardi to rest everyone as fatigue creates injuries and absolutely no incentive to win tonight.
lineup for nyy should be depleted.

and theres nothing left in their bp for tonights game.
i hate loading up on a game but im thinking about going larger.
tb has everythign to play for tonight w/a full lineup and bp(davis pitcehd 8 last night) no travel and nyy is the exact opposite .
why does girardi play anyone tonight w/ the possibility of fatigue issues?

Personally, I think you're wrong. For some reason, I think NYY wants to see Tampa and not Boston in the playoffs. Who knows why.
I think we'll see the answer when we see the NYY lineup announced. When the Yanks clinched, they rested tons of starters vs Tampa. When Boston arrived the NEXT DAY, Girardi put all his starters back in the lineup. It could've been coincidence. I guess we'll see.
It'll be very telling if Girardi rests a ton of people today.
Tampa -1 for 838/500

The Yankees are going to play the game right. But Girardi isn't bringing in Soriano, Robertson and Mariano unless he simply wants to give them some work.
Girardi will not manage the game to try and win it. He's going to keep guys fresh. But he won't attempt to lose.
