that is my question to the forum. the nyy have been very successful againt the rays this season and not so successful against the sox. also, the nyy hate the sox. why would they not rest their bp and players as they have proven history to be able to win the ws on a losing streak.a

i hate loading up on a game but im thinking about going larger.
tb has everythign to play for tonight w/a full lineup and bp(davis pitcehd 8 last night) no travel and nyy is the exact opposite .
why does girardi play anyone tonight w/ the possibility of fatigue issues?

Personally, I think you're wrong. For some reason, I think NYY wants to see Tampa and not Boston in the playoffs. Who knows why.
I think we'll see the answer when we see the NYY lineup announced. When the Yanks clinched, they rested tons of starters vs Tampa. When Boston arrived the NEXT DAY, Girardi put all his starters back in the lineup. It could've been coincidence. I guess we'll see.
It'll be very telling if Girardi rests a ton of people today.
