Why is everyone riding the Red Sox' cock? Seriously folks....help me understand!

The Jays hit lefties well....

The Sox bullpen been getting lit up lately.....

Lester struggles at night....close to a 4 ERA

Lester K-W ratio only average.....

Lester has been solid against the Jays this season.... BUT the one place he has struggled is in Toronto posting an ERA of 4+ in 2 starts there?

Why on earth is Lester at this price?  Because of Perez for the Jays?  Please...I don't care who is pitching for the Jays this price is absurd and I see the Sox being one of the sucker bets of the day!

Jays +170 for me

"I only pay juice if I lose".......used to try to justify playing a -200 or -300 fave 

Big faves are ALWAYS a losing a proposition over the long haul.....please don't try to debate this issue with me....I'm an M.I.T math guy....you will lose the debate every time!

No MIT student has ever had a big johnson (and I had several friends who went there - and it's clear that the brainpower in that place is impressive (although overrated by people who actually matriculate there) the johnson factor is about four.  As in inches.

this is simply not true. There are definitely spots where the fav is the right play value wise. Basically you are trying to say that if you play all big dogs you will win for sure? surely you don't believe it is that easy. Please indulge me with your equations.

Wrong....   On June 12th at Rogers Centre he pitched 8 innings and gave up 2 hits and 1 earned run.  At the first of the year he pitched 5 innings and gave up 5 runs...

The price is what it is because the Red Sox lost yesterday + have wakefield on the mound tomorrow + need to keep up with the Yankees so they arent on the road in the playoffs...

You are correct....however, if you know how to actually calculate an ERA you will know that this equates to a 4.05 ERA! 

Papi isn't going to win the MVP and Boston isn't going to beat the Jays tonight!

yeah I have to agree, the sox lineup is week. Veritek is horrible, Crawford can't handle the pressure, Jacoby is cold, and they are injured.... Rays may take the wild card from them.

You said a couple of things about Lester and his so-called downfalls (if you think that's what they are) but you didn't mention one thing about why you're on the gay Jays. Without mentioning any, don't bother because I know the Jays are a L-O-C-K tonight.

Yea but if you actually know how to read what you wrote you realize that you said that he struggles in Toronto...  Which is incorrect.  He gave up 5 runs in 5 innings to them back in may.  He has a 3.69 era at the Rogers centre if you would like to get all technical

that is the beautiful thing about it; everyone has an opinion.  Personally, I see AGon and Crawford having particularly good nites.  I don't see the Jays within 2, but staying to the ML all the same.  good news is that one of us will be cashing a ticket tonight!  BOL on all your other plays

I've been laying juice and winning a lot with BOS ML.
Tonight I'm on the Jays.
Boston juice is getting too high and they are beginning to lose more frequently.
This may turn into a fade situation similar to SF Giants.

Good news is that neither I, nor anyone else are really concerned with how well we debate vs you (or anyone else).  Big favs, and long dogs have their place, and are just another weapon to be used spuratically; but there are spots whereas they make a lot of sense as well.
