His LOB% (left on base) are phenomenal yet against righties he's actually been unlucky on balls in play.  Can these numbers keep up, or are the base runners he keeps giving up going to start finding ways to score?

As hot as Arizona is.. they're the right team to throw some dynamite into Vogelsong's too-good-to-be-true statistics this season.

I think his stats are due to regress in a hurry.  Arizona has the right momentum to be the team that does this.

Arizona will sweep the Giants.

This game could go either way... two contact pitchers - it's hard to tell how the game will play out.

Marquis has been good historically against the Giants (2.5ish ERA)
Vogelsong is due for some serious statistical regression regarding his efficiency with men on base.
San Fran can't score runs right now, period.

Arizona is hot, they're playing better baseball.. the way I see it, they have a better chance to win this game then the +155 Vegas is offering.  I'll take the value and the hotter team.

I study SABRmetrics myself and honestly feel that babip is probably the the most worthless computation available. If a guy wants to try to measure luck he is getting into the metaphysical and may as well include astrology, biorythms and tarot cards and call them "scientific" as well. JMHO
