Yesterdays Recap: 8-3 =-RangersML, Red Sox -1.5, Philly ML, Cards ML,Twins ML, LAD ML, Orioles live -250 ML (hedge), D-backs live -3.5
= Yankees ML, Angels ML, Mets +1.5
Whats up everyone! We had an okay day today going 7-3. I really wish that I had held off on the Mets. To be honest, I had only taken a 2nd look at it after passing on it because so many people I respect were on it. I need to remember to trust myself and my initial assessments. Well... this game is all about learning, right?
Alright! well its my fiances birthday, so I wont have time to do write-ups tonight. I have been capping the games for the last few hours and have some plays ready though. I will be adding more plays tonight and through out tomorrow, so make sure to check back.
One last thing! The reason I am posting these now, instead of waiting till the write-ups... is because I really want to hear your views on these match-ups. Sometimes after looking at the numbers for a while, its good to hear a fresh perspective on everything. Alright...
On to the plays! (and quick explanations)
-Phillies ML 1.2 units for .5 They are just a much better team over all and I think Halladay will come out guns blazing to make up for his last bad performance. -Red Sox ML 1 unit Once again, this offense was too much to handle and I REALLY don't see Boston being the team to finally break the Mariners 14 game losing streak! They are just a much better team and should find a way to win, no matter what.
-Cards ML 1 units These two team's momentum are going in opposite directions. Both pitchers have similar numbers.. The difference maker in this game is that the Card's offense is finally really heating up and I see them continuing with this momentum.
-KC +1.5 1.2 units This team just has the Rays number. In this game/match-up, I REALLY like this positive run-line. I only see either the Rays getting swept or them only winning by 1 point. Either way, my bases are covered. -Rangers ML 1 unit This has been my favorite team for a while and that's because they have made me more money than any other team by far. In my opinion they are significantly better than the Blue Jays. I trust Ogando and their brutal offense to continue kill it tomorrow night.
Rare Parlay: Texas ML and Phillies ML 1 unit for 1.13 units
Leans: Oakland +1.5, Rockies ML, Atlanta ML, White Sox ML (if game happens), Giants ML, CubsML
Alright everyone! That's it for now. I will continue to add plays/write-ups for tomorrows games, So make sure to check back. Also, feel free to post how you feel about the games tomorrow. Through discussion we will all only get better as cappers. Take care and GL !

the more im looking into it, i may change the phillies ml and rangers ml to runlines.
Its just... from what i have studied, runlines are a bad idea . to many games are decided over 1 point that it makes it hard to make money in the long run.
what do you guys think? is it better to pay the juice or take the run line?

im pretty sure that TB will be the dog for sunday morning.
i am with you all the time with PHI and BOS.
STL and PITT is a coin flip to me but you are absolutely right about momentum. The only arguement i would have is that it is quite difficult to sweep a home team esp when its a team that has some promise like PITT this year.
TEX really pulled through for me tonight, they turned my day positive for the last leg of a parlay.

I dont know what you are saying but i am assuming its negative. I really only want positivity / constructive coversations in this thread. You are completely welcome to talk about picks in here but please just dont post if its going to be something negative... that stuff really takes away from the good that being in the covers community brings.

anyway GL! get that money!
Wow... I just wrote you a long response and my phone lagged while trying to submit it and it was lost lol...
So you think TB is going to take it tomorrow, huh? I will definitely take a further look at it. I just have a hard time taking them on the road because each time I do, I get burned. I was even on them during game 1..
You also bring up some good points about Pitt. If this were pre-AllStar break, I would either pass or be on Pitt. However, for some reason I think they are going to continue to come back down to earth for the rest of the year. Which sucks too.. because I like them a lot.
What do you think of the cubs tomorrow? I was thinking about putting them in a parlay.

Is Halladay 100% ready to handle the heat in Philly? Didn't he have problems handling the heat in his last outing? I"m not sure that stuff goes away that easy. I lost with him in a parlay last outing, and I'm not sure how bad Philly wants this game.
Basically, all your picks look good, it's just trying to find which ones are the best and which ones might trip.

Yeah he did have a problem with the heat. it was over 110 degrees though. i dont think it will be that hot. Also, recovery time for heat exhaustion is very short. I dont think he would be sent out if he wasnt ready.
yep, thats the name of the game lol.. trying to figure out which picks have the best chance of not tripping on their face.
Ill have a much better idea of which games are the best by morning. Once i have it figured out, i will post it. make sure to check back and tell me what you think.

Yeah, i am really liking them so far. They just seem to know how to beat the rays. It also helps that they are better at home andthe rays are a lot worse on the road.

I was thinking about backing the A's +1.5 but the more I looked into it... It was the head to head stats that really won me over to the Yankees. Also the A's are 6-25 in their last 31 games and are on a 5 game losing streak with Gio on the mound.

I'd stay away from the cubs and garza at -175, too expensive. plus, i think astros have a decent shot here.

I'm not sure why the yanks are such heavy favorites...colon's been terrible and gio's been great the last few starts. however yanks haven't lost b2b home games in a while (i think last time was against the bosox). Overall the line is calling oak action, which looks like a bargain.
