New Twist To The Home Run Derby...Who Would You Choose?

They now have captains who will pick their teams.

David Ortiz and Prince Fielder are the captains

I think that's a pretty cool idea. But since the AL/NL are split up...it doesn't matter who gets first pick since they can only take players from their league. It would be more fun if anyone could be chosen. But also...not everyone is willing to participate in the HR Derby so it won't be the best of the best.

So...if you were Ortiz and Fielder...who are the 3 teammates you'd choose for each?

Since Granderson and Konerko are tied 3rd at 21 HRs each so far this season, finalist should be decided by my coin toss.

Head, Granderson. Tail, Konerko. The coin landed on head, so Grandy made it to my AL top three list.

Here is the question though... Are they really picking who they want, or just from who is available to participate in it..?

I mean every year we wonder why so-and-so isn't in it....

It's people who will give them approval. Not everyone wants to do this. So no A-Rod or Tex since they aren't into this thing.
