WHO's gonna win game 1 (CWS)

I am leaning very heavily to taking Florida.

 

I would like thoughts of only people who have watched both these teams!

I think UF is a solid solid play. I have been watching them very closely. I am a Miss State fan and they knocked us out of the super regional.  Huston Randall is a lights out pitcher and their ace.  Whitson will start tomorrow and he was the 9th pick in last years draft and for some reason came to college!  All in all UF has the upper hand in just about every category.

Thats my point exactly! I think USC has a great defense but cannot match with Floridas hitting!

Glad to see this thread.  I am considering POUNDING Florida tonight based on this...

I read the same exact article and having watched Randall pitch 3 or 4 times this year makes we want to pound it even more.  

Are we missing something here?

I don't think so.I believe South Carolina is getting credit for being the defending Champs and for taking 2 of 3 when the teams met earlier in the season.

LOCKING IN after reading this:


OMAHA, Neb. -- It wouldn't be South Carolina baseball without an injury.

The most miserable year in terms of players hurt that Ray Tanner has ever had continued on Sunday when leading hitter Christian Walker, who has started every game at first base this season, missed most of practice with a left wrist injury. Walker tweaked it in his final swing against Virginia on Friday, hoped it would get better by Sunday, tried to take his swings and couldn't.

He spent his practice on the dugout bench, trying to keep his emotions under control and being comforted by trainer Brainard Cooper. While Walker isn't definitely out for tonight's start of the national championship series, he's not definitely in the lineup, either.

"Obviously today he wasn't able to do very much, and he made a little bit of progress from the other night, but at this point, not enough," Tanner said. "Whether or not he'll be to play is in question."





I may play Florida (-1) at -105 to take the juice out of the equation.  The regular line is -150.  If they win by a run, I'll live to fight another day.

I was wondering if the ML was going to down, but now I think I need to jump on the -150.  Unfortunetly my book doesnt do RL's.
