OK so we had another winning night going 3-2... Not bad! overall we're just about .500 (16-17) but the confidence is going up regardless of the total record. I am inspired by a lot of people in this forum and love the support many of you bring to the table. I have 5 plays locked in for now which is usually more than I like to play at once but I love following an afternoon game on my blackberry in my cubicle, and also, I feel pretty good about the picks. I hope all of you had a great night last night and banked! And even if you didn't, keep your head up! Today is a new day... I'll see you at the bank!!!
I've been riding San Fran hard and they have been producing W results. Vogelsong is pitching for them and he has been hot as of late and is hard to go against. I did like the Dbacks but at -140, I see much more value in playing San Fran, especially with Vogelsong pitching. At the same time, Kennedy is pitching lights out at 7-2 (almost as good as Cole) and dbacks are playing extremely well...so why aren't they an even bigger favorite playing at home? Vegas knows something, and I'm going with San Fran because it appears to be going against the grain a bit, whic
Blackburn on the mound for Twinnies who are home and going up against Buehrle and the White Sox. Blackburn is having a pretty nice season with 5 wins under his belt and I like it how hot the Twins have been, pulling off upsets. Buehrle has actually been decent this season and showed glimmers of success like in previous seasons years ago. This is a tough call but my gut tells me Twins.
James McDonald is pitching for pirates who are away. and going up against Jordan Lyles. McDonald has been very solid as of later going 2-1 with an under 3 ERA in his last 5 starts. Lyles has barely pitched this season and is 0-1 with an ERA of over 4, and Houston is at times, well...garbage. I like the Pirates.
I like the over in this one because both squads have been knocking in lots of runs and may not have uber sweet pitching, but have great offensive abilities when they show up. Don't know a whole lot about this Stewart guy, but do know that Guthrie has proven in the past that he has days where he get's blasted, and has only one two games. I see a lot of runs, or I hope for a lot of runs, in this afternoon game.
Cliff on the mound for the Phils who are playing at home against Javier Vasquez and the Marlins. Javier is so old and the bats of Howard and Chase have been scorching hot! I see a lot of bombs being ripped off Vasquez and see the phils continue to pour on runs like they've been doing recently. And the Marlins don't have great bats, however players like Stanton and gaby sanchez have the propensity to rip in runs, even off a pitcher at the caliber of Clifford. Also... I'll be at this game, and I would love to see some runs!! Last game I was at I caught a Ryan Howard homer... :)
Best of luck boys (and sarah philli :) ) I wish all of you the most success today and hope you go with your gut and tail people whose instincts attract you. My prayers are going out to all of you that we sweep it up today and bring out the rake!!!!!
Much love, and bueno suerte...
Sincerely,
PIPE$
