Even if it does, the game will stand as completed. They will just wash the last inning off.

you sure? my book specifies it HAS to go 8.5 innings if the home team is winning and 9 innings if the road team is winning

because how mad would you be if it was 4-3 in the 6th inning and the total was 7 1/2 and the game got called its not fair... sometimes it screws you but its the only way

Then that should be "no action" and refunded. If the game has surpassed the total and is ruled official before 9 innings are completed, there is no gray area. Runs cannot be taken off the board, and, therefore, the over wins and the under loses.

just double checked the rules on my book:

  • Games are official after 5 innings of play or 4.5 innings if the home team is leading.

  • If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Then the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called.

  • When wagering on total runs or run lines, the game must go the regulation 9 innings or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will constitute a "No Action" wager, and all money will be credited accordingly. Wagers on total runs will be "No Action" if a pitcher change occurs prior to both listed pitchers throwing at least one pitch

    There is no sportsbook out there that will pay the over..   I do agree if the game is official and its gone over already it should be paid.    There is no way for it to go under.    If a game is under then obv there is no definate of what would have happened so no action is appropriate.

    That seems the fairest way for sure, but books are bastards and they dont want to give you that win on something thats already won...thats a loophole in their favour for sure!
