Chacin comes into this game with a 3.86 FIP and a 3.12 xFIP, 19th best in MLB. He's sporting a 60% GB% on the season, thus helping explain his .273 BABIP. Enright has a FIP of 5.61 (one of the worst) and 4.64 xFIP. Hitters are averaing .303 off him this season with 1.82 HR's/9. Enright has actually given up 5 HR's in his last 3 starts. He is coming off a quality outing, but did throw 114 pitches, the most in his career. How is that going to affect him against this potent Rockies lineup tonight?
Chacin has actually had trouble with the 'long-ball', giving up 4 HR's in his last 2 starts. Last year against Arizona though he gave up 3 ER's on 14 hits, in 17 innings pitched. More importantly he didn't allow even 1 HR and had a 22 to 8 K/BB ratio. I expect him to pitch well tonight.
Prior to Enright's quality outing aginst the Cubs, he has only lasted about 5.1 innings in his previous 2 starts. That's significant since we're bound to get 3 to 4 innings of Arizona bullpen in this one. With a 4.77 ERA and 1.4 WHIP at home, Arizona's BP is an advantage for us. In comparison, Colorado's BP has a 3.0 ERA and 1.0 WHIP on the road.
Colorado is 10-4 on the road this year and 7-2 following a loss. Arizona is only 2-8 in Enright's last 10 starts, and coming off a 114 pitch outing, I expect the Rockies bats to get to him tonight.

Yeah, a bizarre thing I read about Liriano's no-hitter was that his xFIP last night was 5.97 which was even higher than his average so far of 5.25. It's pretty hard to pitch that poorly and still have a no-hitter. But then Dock Ellis someone pitched a no-hitter on LSD..

wow...definitely look to 'fade' him in his next start. He threw over 120+ pitches in that one as well, which is a lot for him
