Verlander is on the mound in this one and the current A's hitters are batting .264 with OBP of .309 and OPS of .652 off him. Braden has gotten hit in his last 2 starts against the Tigers, and the current Detroit lineup is batting .304 off him with OBP of .360 and OPS of .958. I don't mind backing a better pitcher and better hitting team at these short odds.
#2: New York Yankees -117
Yankees lost yesterday but this team is still winning 61% of their games against lefty starters. I know Holland has been pitching well but 2 factors are agaist him here: Yankees are batting .359 with OBP of .405 off him AND he has thrown 110 pitches in his last outing, the most of his 2 year career. I expect Garcia to pitch well in his season debut for the Bombers.
