I like Duensing. And, being a lefty, should really benefit him. He turns all the switch hitters (Tex, Swisher and Posada) to bat from the right side so they can't do what they do best and pull any balls to right field. The Yankees also have had problems facing lefties of late. The win against Liriano ended an 9 loss streak against left handed starters. However...this is the Twins we're talking about and they'll probably find a way to blow this game late. But for at least 5 innings, I think Duensing keeps the Yankees off balance. I think it's safe to say Hughes will give up a homer or 2 as well. He's given up a homer in 12 of his 18 home starts this season and allows 1.1 homers per game at home.
Hey...I expect the Yankees to finish this series tonight...but it will certainly be a 9 inning game.
