Yankees +150? I understand. It's Vazquez v Lee. But someone find me the last time they were such huge dogs like this? This is incredible. Tex won't be playing by the way.
Astros +129
Nationals -108
Blue Jays -103
Pirates +184
No time for writeups as I gotta hit the hay early. I'll have writeups for at least the night games if not all the games later on.

Just looked up past yanks games and the last 2 this big were in 2008 on the road against halladay and toronto. 1 was midseason yanks had ponson going and the other was the last week of the season with pavano going and they had probably had guys sitting as well as they were eliminated. +185 was the pavano/halladay game. Jays won 8-2

Yanks should be auto-fade for the month of August. After tonight they're still 26 games over .500 and they're going to find it tough to keep this pace with their pitching in sleep mode.

Wait on this game because everyone will be thinking the same way and the line will come down. Then hit the Rangers -1.5 and -2.5. The difference in this game is simple: Lee's control has been outstanding walking something like 1 in his last 8 games coupled with the Yankees are going through that stretch where they can't get that key hit. Did you forget yesterday's Red Sox game already? I think this game is a Texas blowout and I'll be hitting it hard. GL

Astros +129 Risking 1 unit to win 1.29 units Rough loss on Tuesday, but aside from the 9th inning meltdown, they Astros have still been playing great baseball, especially at home. And better yet...Wandy has become the Wandy of old. In 6 of his last 8 starts, he's given up 1 run or less. He has a 1.87 ERA in his last 8 starts and the Astros are 6-2 during that span and he has a 1.06 ERA in his last 5 home starts. On the other hand, Hanson has been great too. He has a 1.72 ERA in his last 4 starts, however, the Braves have lost his last 5 starts. The Braves offense is a bit slim though. Jones is out, Heyward is out, McCann may be out and Prado is still on the DL. And they don't hit lefties well either. Only .246 on the season, .221 on the road and .210 in their last 10. And while the Astros haven't done much overall this season, they're hitting .307 v righties in their last 10 games and Bagwell has had a big affect on this club. Wandy and Myers are the only guys that are allowed, pretty much, to go as far as they're affective. So maybe we won't see much of the Astros' bullpen. Great value in the Astros today.

Nationals -108 Risking 1.08 units to win 1 unit Good spot for the Nats to back up their Game 1 loss. Sanchez has been unreal lately and it was just a bad spot for them. Tonight they face Volstad who doesn't go deep into games and sucks on the road. He has a 6.08 ERA on the road and only averages 5.2 innings per start on the road. However, he does have 2 great starts against the Nats this season. His best start came when he had a complete game 1 run performance in Florida and then had a 7 inning, 2 run outing in Washington. Olsen had 6 shutout innings against the Marlins earlier in the season. He had a nice return then got roughed up in Arizona. But pitchers tend to have problems in Arizona at times. Now his feet are wet, he's back on track, and should pitch a nice game. Neither team is playing well lately so the short price at home seems like the right play.

Why isn't Tex playing?? He has great #'s vs. Lee. 10-27 (.370) with 5 doubles, a HR and only 2 k's....did I miss an injury or something? GL Sparky, love your write-ups

His wife gave birth last night. So...since 1 of his stories for signing with the Yanks was his wife...he has to be there.
The other reason...is GOD.
