How would you hedge...Im new to gambling baseball, Was in this situation a couple weeks ago and was trying to figure a way not to lose for sure but did nothing and lost it was 50 to win 550 or so and I had the 1st 2 with the 3rd a late game with SD -120 and they lost I was thinking put 275 on the other team and I was gauranteed to atleast win 225 right? On a dif forum a guy I thought was pretty solid told me to do nothing, and just take the chance that SD would win anyway! Needless to say I was pissed... another guy said bet 50 on the other team which woulda made it a wash Thanks   So ur thinkin bet a nickel on Seattle right, Then ur gauranteed to win a nickel right?

You are exactly right....you could have put money on the opposite side of the late game (3rd leg)....its called buying insurance or hedging...remember always take guaranteed profit when you can...it is tempting to "gamble"...but believe me take the sure money

yes i would put half the payout on the other side...($500ish)...guarantee $500 profit...you can put as much as you want to....example...maybe put only 2 or 3 hundy on seattle.....its just hedging
