Lilly has not allowed the Doyers to get past 2 runs last two starts. This version has no Ethier, no Manny, and we cannot rely on Loney and Kemp to pound Lilly can we? Ely is a master of an offspeed pitch which "looks fastball" but comes in much slower. This has 2-1 written all over it, and the total should have been set at 6. Wind blowing in from center at 10+ mph. No rain.
Az/Col O 9.5 No surprises here. Haren gets the day start, but never good to be up there in the rarefied air on a sunny day--temp above 85 degrees. If baserunners tire the pitchers, this one sails over by the 5th. Wind breezing out around 10-15 mph, so not a factor as much as the temperature and the air, and Hammels who is "working out" his excuses and gets the leading run producing team (Arizona) who needs a bust out game in this getaway daytimer. Lean D-Backs.

Also worth a look is the 1st H over 5 -120 and the side Az -120. Hammels likely gets an early exit (and does have the groin injury--which doesn't heal itself--also the thought this is a "throw-away" party game for Rocks who won the 1st 2, and Az should get up at least 4-2, 5-1 early. This way no need to "sweat" the extra 4 runs off the bullpen. Never know if you get Haren on a great day for him, or a gas can who wants to impress. Do Rocks join this hitfest late? Or do they pack it in? 7-1 or 7-2 is common at Coors. So I will also be laying the over 5 1st H at -120.

Pay no mind.I'm not sure why it is bettors always like to see -120 to feel they're "on the right side." Sometimes I do too. Yet, I have seen countless +105 and even money come in everyday so it won't bother me at all. Haren will not blank the Rockies at Coors, so wes hould get 3 from them. Haren is just a "scare" for bettors.

Ely should pitch a good game in front of 100 friends and family.. He grew up a CWS fan in the South Side of Chicago. If he can pitch through the nerves for the first 2 innings or so, he should be fine.

George, how do you make your decisions on what full games to play vs first 5 inning plays? Is it strictly bullpen or is it safe to say if you like the full game under you like the half under also?

Too many teams develop a 'game plan' to overcome a 'better pitcher.'
These two totals hit
2-0
