TGIF and we move into interleague play. You got your beltway series in DC and the sub way series in NY…..too bad the Orioles are terrible….Eduardo Perez is an idiot, the NL is not better than the AL just because certain players are having dominating season so far…they are dominating because they are good players playing against weaker competition. The AL is tougher so your stars are not shining out as much….just look at the transition woes NL pitchers take against the AL………Peavy/Vazquez have both struggled in the AL circuit, while on the other hand Roy Halladay has been lights out all season long.We will see how strong the competition is this weekend….
Yankees ML – 4.5 units POD …..Yankees got shot in the knee this week….things will change vs. the WEAKER NL teams in inter league play this season. Vazguez was solid his last outing, enough to make me think he will handle the Mets bats pretty well. As a Brave, he was mediocore, now with a platoon of great hitting the Yanks get it done. I am not concerned about the absence of DH because they just means they will bench one of their ringers they have been using the last two weeks….Vazquez has hitting experience, might be able to help the Yanks play some small ball tonight. The Mets counter with with a reliever who is in his mid 30s, the Yankees lineup sounds like a tough feet tonight...
Rays RL – 2.2 units ……. The Rays have obviously found their hitting mojo and you couple that with their great pitching, they should breeze through the WEAKER NL teams….
