I wanted to say Girardi going from not making the playoffs to World Champs but I personally don't give credit to him. I give more credit to Gardy for coming back. Or maybe I should give more credit to Leyland.

I agree with this, but Porcello should win the AL ROY. DTher85 why Ron Washington? I hope not protect to Gardy.

I thought Ron Washington did a great job in Texas. They almost won 90 games in a pretty solid division. Pitching was pretty solid this season compared to seasons past. Gardenhire on the other hand won a shitty division, and to be honest, I thought the Tigers lost it more than the Twins won it. I know Gardenhire dealt with several injuries but I just think the lack of quality in the division keeps him from winning it.

I don't think Greinke should win the Cy, he didnt' have the most wins and he didnt pitch against Boston or NY even once (or was it once?)
Greinke was 2nd in the league in Ks, had and ERA below 2.20 (almost a half run better than the next closest), had 16 wins when the AL leader had 19. Had the best WHIP at 1.07, pitched over 220 innings and had the best FIP (pitching independent from fielding) 2.33.
In his losses/no decisions:
2 losses and 4 no decisions when giving up 1 run or less. 2 no decisions when giving up 2 runs.
Greineke is only responsible for his pitching and he did everything you could ask for and did it better than any other pitcher this year. He does not bat and it is not his job to score runs also. He played on a team that was inept on offense when he pitched and it shows in his record. W?L records mean very little. There are more important pitching statistics and peripherals to look at when comparing and choosing the best pitcher.
