Ok first time doing this; I just started capping this season and im doing pretty well for myself. I use a system that incorporates Pitchers home/away stats, batter vs. pitcher stats and such. I got inspired to see how i do the last month after going up 70 units last night!!!.

*POD*Phillies ML +125
You got a Phillies team that is had a great game last night. And this is the type of team that once they get going they don’t slow down for a bit. They have one of the best pitchers in baseball in Cliff Lee. He is still the cy young winner from last year. He just had no run support and a shitty bullpen in CLE so I would take him every game until he starts getting into the -200s. Phil’s aren’t taking any games lightly either with the Braves up their ass, so don’t think they wont be concentrated during the game.
Philadelphia is 6-1 SU in their last 7 games when playing Chi Cubs Philadelphia is 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing on the road against Chi Cubs Philadelphia is 8-4 SU in its last 12 games on the road Chi Cubs are 6-3 SU in their last 9 games at home
Only one stat in the Cubs favor is good enough for me to bet against them.

I know the brewers have sucked as of late, and the Padres are killing it as well. And i know the crew is only won 3 out of last 10 against SDG. BUT I can’t see the padres, the lowest scoring team in the league; get a good outing from this new guy Carrillo. Brewer’s bats haven’t been silent either, it’s just their pitching that has been the problem.
Carrillo in AAA is 0-2 in 3 starts with only 16 innings pitched and allowed 23 hits and 12 runs. And not to mention his numbers in AA only slightly better.....Even with hot bats of SDG ill take MIL against a guy who can’t get a win in the minor leagues.
Play 4: DET ML -110 4 units
Now listen I know the sox or on fire, but needless to say I hate them and am confident that Buchholz will not have an outing similar to that of Beckett or even Penny. Now, Verlander has struggled as of late, but Buchholz has struggled worse. Now listen.. I know DET has gotten their asses kicked in this series. But look at the past 3 games.
Edwin Jackson has done nothing but lose to Boston so his poor pitching was easily explained
Porcello (who was dealing) got taken out VERY early I think before even 2 complete innings. So an unexpected pitcher had to replace him, of course hes gunna get rocked.
Same this as above except gallaraga didn’t pitch at all
And its not even like the tigers bats have been all that cold. I mean Beckett shut them down but they scored 5 each of the other games. I say Verlander can keep the Red Sox to 3 in 6 or 7. With Cabrera back in the lineup after the day off look for the Tigers to finally take a game in BOS.
Play 5: COL RL -125 6 units
Not much to say here. Pirates SUCK on the road and already got their win in the series. Marquis ss 3-1 out of last 5 against PIT, and exact opposite for Maholm who is 1-3 out of last 5 against COL. Out of the 5 games this season the rocks beat the pirates, 4 of them covered the RL. So feel confident in tonight that they will repeat last nights performance.

Sabathia is only on 4 day rest and with the long travel expect him to be extra tired. He also hasn’t had two good performances back to back this year. The yanks haven’t even hit the ball well past few games. All of their low scoring games against TOR were mostly solo shots, which wont leave the park in Seattle tonight. For this one, wait till before game time to place bet, because it will get better.

I agree with your play, acortazz, but that's not true about Sabathia. By my count, he's put together back-to-back strong starts 5 times this season (but only once since the beginning of July).

I agree with your play, acortazz, but that's not true about Sabathia. By my count, he's put together back-to-back strong starts 5 times this season (but only once since the beginning of July).
my mistake, but pick still is strong for me. Sabathia is off or on and for this value hes not on that much more than hes off esp with little rest and traveling

it because he's at his best during the end of the season wich would be about this time right... so throw all the early mumbo jumbo out the window and look at the big picture C.C might just pitch a no no against the Seattle offense that just sucks at scoring and the Yankees played a early game yesterday which gave them time to travel yesterday and they should be well rested by 2days game and look who's pitching for the M's, Snell... we don't need Jeter, A-rod,or Po Po today against this guy Robby, Melky, and Godzilla should be enough to beat up on the bum
