By the way, as far as I can tell, after losing my huge 10 unit bomb tonight on DET RL (Verlander 8 ER in 62 IP at home ALL season, gives up FIVE fucking runs T1), I think I am just about dead even since I started the 1 POD system.  which tells you I was up about 14 units or so just 3 days ago.  Wow, this is a rollercoaster.

Combine that with the fact they won IN Pittsburgh, now gotta fly all the way to Florida tonight..The guy throwing for Washington, as best as I can tell, has started 2 games this year, throwing 10 IP TOTAL combined and giving up a total of 10 ER.....sooo...

flying from PIT to WASH DC is certainly not the trip it is to go from Pitt down to FLA, but it's still prob a 2 hour flight (as i said nothing major) but still gotta travel back home tonight, etc.

i've had a 5-0 run, an 8-2 run, and several 5-2 weeks....but to go 0-4-1 in my last 5 is BRUTAL.  I apologize for my recent bad run to any tailers, and anyone who has been fading me the last week has got to be LOVING life

The Nationals, bad as they've been in 2009, have actually had four winning streaks this season of at least 3 games.  The most recent one was from July 25-28 against the Padres and Brewers. 

JDro, hate to bum you out, but so far my best play for Tuesday is those spunky Washington Nationals.  I wrote about this game in both Kirbyzhang's and blak_jak_daniel's threads if you want to read more.

 

 

Josh Johnson is not a beast.  What he is is a 6-7 inning pitcher who almost never gets knocked around, but seldom shuts teams down either.  Johnson has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 6 of his 10 road starts this season, and he's allowed exactly 3 earned runs in 6 of his last 9 starts overall.  Not too shabby, but also not quite beast-like.

I'll respect what you have to say, but I'm going to take a pitcher with a 10-2 record and has not given up more then 3 earned runs since April 18th, which was 18 starts ago.  That alone is real consistant, which is a statement you can't even say about most of the power pitchers in the league. Yes, he may get hit and may give up 3 runs, but he is still very underrated and yet puts up some of the best numbers in the national league.
