A guy who pitched 21 straight shutout innings is +180 tomorrow

Brett Anderson: 7H 0ER 21IP 18/3 K/BB last 3 games
Anyone ever seen something like that? This line shaving at yankee stadium for home team is becoming absolutely ridiculous.
And against who? Joba Chamberlain, who tends to crap his pants from time to time and give up 7 runs an inning, despite his high quality stuff... So far his home era is a very average 4.81 this season...
Run line for oak would be probably around -120.. how do you not take oakland here?

The obvious play is to take Oakland thats why they will not win.
Every point you just made is correct. But your perception is wrong.
Read between the lines. Linemakers want you to take Oakland. That is why this line is set so high.
 
This is exactly why alot of people are not sucessful or 'consistent' in winning at baseball because they go by what should happen. Rather than what shouldn't.
 
Basically if you bet on Oakland your betting on Brett to go a 4th straight good start. The chances of that happening. Little to None
 
Basically if you bet against Yankees your betting on Joba to go a 3rd or 4th straight bad start etc. etc. The chances of that happening. Little to None
 
You see where Im going.?????
 
I can name several examples of this.
Phillies (last night)
Angels (last night)
Rockies (night before)

Yankees fucking dominate shitty competition,

The Yankees are red hot right now and always a betting favorite with the public. They should be big favorite against OAK. @ home.That being said Brett Anderson has been terrific and has pitched extremely well lately against the like of BOS,TB, LAA, and DET. Doubt NY will intimidate him. I believe he's worth a shot @ +183.
 
On under TB/TOR, 7.5, Rayz' not hitting before Buehrles' gem. 10 total runs last 4 games when Garza has started vs TOR. Hallady 2-4 vs Rayz' last 6 mostly due to lack of run support.

thats much better than "web design for dummies" in the post above...

but why do you call oakland the obvious play? to me yanks at home is always the obvious play unless they face Halladay or Verlander or somebody like that... in average gamblers mind yanks should pound everyone at home especially some rookie from Oakland and they always be the obvious play
and why Anderson cant have another good start? some adjustments were made with him, i dont know exactly what, that let him pitch better than first half of the season... he is a different pitcher in July and i dont understand why he cant pitch a good game in NY... obviously no one expects another shutout from him, but to hold them to a couple of runs to have a chance to cash a huge plus price on him?...

good initial post, worth a shot

I thought Baltimore was worth a shot Monday and they ran the bases like imbeciles and lost 2-1 but when you take a big dog as long as you are in the game and have a shot....

im thinking about taking the As first 5. im not sure who wins but i will say the yanks need to distance them selves in first place. i tihnk the As have a pretty decent chance at being tied of ahead after 5. they got some early runs against sabathia whos way better then joba and i dont see the yanks lighting anderson up

you probably also knew that Holliday would be traded right before this game and they would be left without any kind of solid bat in the lineup whatsoever... im sure they werent in the great shape emotionally as well when this trade happened...
