What do you wankers think of the Marlins?

Breaking down this team, I think they can win the East.  I can ramble on all day, but they just have a solid core of young talent.  Even the so-so guys that you may not know(Gaby Sanchez, Volstad) have an extremely high ceiling.  They got some pop in the middle of the lineup, some guys that can steal bases, and a sweet 1-2 punch in the rotation.  Maybe even Andrew Miller can figure it out and join the party.
 
The three teams ahead of them all have some problems of their own, and I can see this as a 4 team battle for the pennant that at +700, I think the Marlins are worth a shot.

why bother.....baseball is a long season.....i hate season bets im not sure why people do these.

AJ, you don't think they may be a year or two from putting it all together? 
 
-What do you think of Gaby Sanchez?  Looking at the guy, I think he can put up Chris Davis kind of numbers if given a legit shot to play 1st base.
 
-Do you think we saw the "real" Jorge Cantu last year or was his 2006-07 years his true game?
 
-What are the odds of getting a full season out of the two aces?  Do you think Volstad will improve on a terrific rookie season?
 
-What do you think of the pen outside of Lindstrom? 
 
Sorry for all the questions.  I'm just trying to get a feel for what people think about this squad beyond HanRam and Uggla.

One reason is the low risk, high reward aspect of certain props. The Rays cashed in bigtime for me last season, and while this was a loser in the NFL, I had gigantic odds on the Panthers to win the NFC.  Those kind of hits turn a successful season into a monster season. 

Not to mention the ego part of things when my buddies all say I'm nuts to think the Panthers will be anything but an 8-8 squad like predicted, and they came an OT game against the Giants from getting the 1 seed.  Or when I say the Rays can win the East and I get told I've been smoking too much weed. 

I take a lot of time in the offseason to study my shit, and to nail some good props in March(or August for football) is the ultimate satisfaction.   At least to me it is.

The marlins defense is going to be terrible thats the thing thats going to hold them back. I see mcpherson starting at thrid cantu playing first. Gaby will come off the bench for a while. problem is none of them are solid defensive players. Hanley is not the greatest fielder but jacobs last year gave him no help and i dont see sanchez or cantu helping much more. 

Outfield with cam maybin will be improved. hermida with his first rnd potnetial needs to wake up and become the player he can be. 

The rotation is down right filthy. nolasco jj anibal volstad are as good as it gets. The penn has some question marks other than pinto and lindstrom ill be curious to see how it plays out. ryan tucker has potential, tankerlsey is a gas can, kiko calero may do well, miller when he finds his stuff will be a nice addition to the penn or rotation.

sanchez has nowhere near the same PX skill as davis.  not even on the same planet, bro.  think a right handed casey kotchman.  gabby is most likely headed to AAA so that mcpherson can play third and cantu can slide to first.  if ur a fan of gabby root for a trade of cantu, a horrible spring for mcpherson or gabby tostart hitting and force their hand.  he has been horrible so far in camp.  really blowing the opp.  gl
