No, this isn't a jinx post or anything like that.
 
There had been murmurs about how taxed Tampa Bay's bullpen was and how Maddon hadn't kept enough relievers on the postseason roster to make it all the way. I was surprised to see Balfour out there throwing fireballs for three whole innings in Game 1. Then you saw David Price in Game 2 and he definitely was off by giving up two runs yet they never really considered pulling him. Now Balfour comes in again tonight, looks completely out of wack, and is left in there to give up the game-winning run.
 
The Phillies bullpen already was considered superior, now it's not even close. When you consider that Moyer just outdueled Garza, I pretty much know I'm looking at.

Scratch that. He pitched to 5 batters in that game, don't know where I got three innings from.

Oh now I know why. He came in during the 7th and left in the 9th, faced 7 batters and retired 5 of them.

Ron_coleman I have Phillies for the series. I don't know if Phils have the upper hand just yet. They are absolutely horrible with RISP. Even the game winning hit was suspect. I know the Umps screwed them up, but still Phillies are in deep doo doo if they continue to hit like tonite.

I don't have a series bet nor am I a fan of either team so I can spout at the mouth like this.

As bad as Philly has been offensively, they've outhit Tampa Bay in all three games so far. The Rays' only real advantage in this series, their starting pitching, has been nullified. You got Blanton at home in about 16 hours and Hamels in Game 5. Didn't think I'd be saying this but this may not get back to St. Petersburg.

This ones over the Rays got to the big stage and shit the bed....Wish Boston woulda won game 7 at least this series wouldve been a little bit closer.. Not to mention Fenway is much harder to play in then tat shithole dome in St Pete's. Next year maybe they'll go back to the cellar of the east where they belong

congrats' phillies, you were the best team, and I must say while disappointed the RAYZ' did not win, what they accomplished was truly amazing.
 
I, however, am not a sore loser like apparently the BIRDMAN is. In fact, we kicked the Red Sox ass 14 times this year and we''ll be in the hunt again next year, LIKE IT OR NOT.
