Boston -127 508/400
This series has been hard on the loyal fans. Both teams have looked great at times. For example the Hawks at the beginning of game 2. Bruins, especially Tuuka weathered the 19 first period shots.
The line change by Julien worked out great with the Kelly, Paille, Seguin line accounting for both goals. All three of those players have a high motor and are going. Seguin has disappointed me thus far, but he does have skill, just wish he would muck a little more, but now with Paille on the line those three can match the speed of the Hawks, and give the Bruins more depth to match up with Chicago.
I don't really have anything negative to say about Chicago, they are talented team, with speed and players that aren't afraid to get physical. Crawford is playing good this postseason, leading the league in GAA slightly with a 1.72 over Tuuka at 1.73. Tuuka takes him in the save % though at .944 vs .935, both very respectable.
The Bruins have the top three point producers in the playoffs on one line, Krejci, Lucic and Horton. Jagr seems to be getting into a groove as of late. Not much to show on the stat sheet, but if you watch closely he is making a difference out there in his playmaking. Wouldn't be surprised if he finds the back of the net tonight.
With Boston getting one on the road I feel they will keep it going tonight. The Hawks are 3-4 on the road and are averaging around 2 gpg. The Bruins home record this year is 7-2 and averaging 2.8 gpg at home. The Hawks tend to have a drop off on the road.
The Hawks high flying style of play, with constantly trying to hit the stretch pass is more conducive while at home. When a team goes on the road their game tends to become more simple. I think this plays into the Bruins hands. The Bruins want to make this a zone to zone game.
I said it in my previous posts as well. Whatever team makes more of the small plays tonight, getting the puck in and getting it out, will take the game in my opinion.
Lets hope for a good game either way,
Prediction: Bruins 3 Hawks 2
