Darrell...the only way Detroit had a chance in this series is if Howard and Co were able to shut down the Ducks high scoring offense and as you can see, its not happening. Detroit was the sexy team to upset in the first round but I dont see it happening, theyre too young and theyve already made many rookie mistakes in this series. They also dont have the firepower to match Anaheim. Out of 9 periods in this series, Detroit has only outplayed Anaheim in 1 period. Detroit is fortunate to have even won a game so far in this series. If not for Howard, the series would be 3 nil. Instead of asking me why I like Anaheim, I should really be asking you why you like Detroit? Home ice...forget it, Howard...maybe, special teams...forget it...offense....yeah, right.....depth...forget it
In fact, Detroit only has one line and I love Anaheims depth...seems like on everyone on Anaheims roster can put the puck in the net.
Theyll be a few wise guys taking Detroit but Ill take Anaheim every game this series. Howard does not have a good team in front of him and he will have to stand on his head to win tonight.
