I've never once bet on NHL before. Baseball is my sport. I decided to get into it this year. I've been silently observing so far, but it's time for me to begin. I put aside $1500 for NHL and will do $50 (3%) bets with up to five $75 (5%) bets throughout the season. I will post every play and update my record.

Need to analyze more possible plays in the morning and maybe get another 1 or 2. Really liking both of these plays and jumped on them early.

Penguins ML: -210 ($75)
Flyers PL -1.5: +180 ($50)
Lightning/Devils o5.5: +100 ($50)
Islanders/Rangers o5.5: +115 ($50)
Red Wings/Blues o5.5: +120 ($50)

All my o/u plays today are over and with + odds. I feel great about them based on my research. If I don't hit any, I will need to completely revamp the way I look at o/u lines. First puck line play of the years on the Flyers also. Laying lots of juice on the Penguins, but I can't imagine them losing this game so going with my first $75 play of the year.

What is with the Predators vs Wild line tomorrow? Predators should be favored and they are +110? I'm jumping on it now.

no they shouldn't
preds are 5-5 vs wild who are 4-6 and all there wins have come at home

no question preds are playing better right now winning 4 in a row and wild losing 3 in a row but the line is were it should be...line opened up at -127 wild and now its -121 wild(+115 preds)


i took the preds +181 vs blues and +143 vs sharks however i will pass on them

Thanks for the feedback! Nice hits on the Predators in those other 2 games. From the way I've been researching games since starting on Monday, this has been the first one I've seen where my eyes light up. I hope it hits :) GL to you also today!

Bruins ML: -130 ($50)
Kings/Red Wings u5: +120 ($50)
Blackhawks PL -1.5: +243 ($50)
Bruins PL -1.5: +230 ($50)

The Blackhawks and the Bruins are well rested and playing teams comiong off tough games yesterday. Playing the ML and PL on both games. The Bruins should have it in the bag and the Blackhawks have been scoring like crazy.
