#1 Posted: 4/8/2012 11:04:47 PM I'm interested in how everyone stacks the playoff goalies right now.
I have to run so I can't give a thorough opinion, but will give you my list.
West
Quick: Great year, but has given up a lot of goals in his short playoff career
Rinne: Can dominate, but also goes thru stretches of lapses. Needs to be better in playoffs
Smith: Great story and very athletic. Next to zero playoff experience
Howard: Quietly goes about his business and is underrated
Luongo: Much maligned, but pitched 2 shutouts in the Finals last year
Halak: Has the experience of two years ago, but could be replaced by Elliott
Niemi: Has a ring, but still not regarded as one of the best. Gave up a lot of goals last year
Crawford: Inconsistent year, but was pretty good last year vs the Nucks in playoffs
East
Thomas: Reigning champ has to be respected until defeated. His time of the year
Lundqvist: Has only been decent in the playoffs. Seems worn down
Fleury: Last 2 playoff years have not been kind, but I still respect his big game ability
Brodeur: The Lion in Winter's last kick at the can?
Bryzgalov: Must be great for Philly to have any chance. That is very doubtful
Anderson: Not much experience in playoffs
Neuvirth: Is he healthy and ready to go?
Theodore: The old sieve had a solid year
