#1 Posted: 3/3/2012 3:56:04 PM got "smoked like a bad cigar" yesterday as the Wild got buried and both the Bhawks and Sens forgot how to score. doing these three plays Saturday...
Lightning +150 @ Hurricanes and 5 1/2 OVER -105. Garon vs Ward (confirmed). Bugs have won their last 3 and 6 of their last 8. Garon 5-1 his last 6. Canes 2-3 their last 5 homes and Ward 1-1 since coming back from injury. both goalies tend to get "loose" at times and the last 10 matches, going back to January 2010, have gone OVER a 5 1/2.
Sabres +180 @ Canucks. Miller vs Luongo (likely). the Sabres and Miller have suddenly awakened winning 5 of their last 6 and Miller with shutouts his last two. Canucks with Luongo ain't chopped liver esp @ home BUT for a +180, I will take a chance.
btw, I would NOT bet my Pennies today with LeTang out the lineup. they SHOULD be able to beat the Ava's BUT we seem to be a different team with no Kris. the PP esp seems to suffer. |

freeking Sens only had 16 shots on goal thru two peroids and 26 for the game. NO real pressure on Emery. Bhawks could have made the over themselves BUT Lehner was almost as sharp as he was in Boston.
hope it doesn't turn into Terry Sawchuck vs Glenn Hall tonight in Carolina |

#9 Posted: 3/3/2012 6:32:56 PM Taking a hot Ryan Miller at +180 is a smart bet. The guy is as streaky as they come. The bottom line is that when he is on his game, he is as good as anyone in the league. His major problem is, and has always been, consistency.....
This is a goalie rematch of the gold medal game of a few years ago. As was the case then, Luongo has the better skaters in front of him, but we'll see if Miller can steal this one. Perhaps Vancouver doesn't bring their 'A' game vs a non conference foe tonight and you cash the big ticket.
Also, the young players involved in the Monday trade get to play their old mates.

I apologize, shimmersun. I tend to be overly cautious about my Pennies esp when they have what looks to be a key injury. just seen them bone it too many times in that situation. to paraphrse the line from "The End" "sometimes out of the mouth of flying rats comes CAA CAA!!!"
